Dispatcher

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Serbia, +2 more countries.

📋 Description

• Plan and assign trucks across the operational network.

• Create daily and weekly schedules to enhance truck utilization, revenue, and profitability.

• Source and secure freight using load boards, brokers, customers, and various resources.

• Negotiate rates considering RPM, deadhead, market position, driver hours, and freight opportunities.

• Pre-plan truck assignments whenever feasible.

• Foster strong relationships and maintain regular communication with assigned drivers.

• Provide essential information regarding pickups, deliveries, appointments, routing, and loads.

• Monitor trucks and shipments, addressing potential issues before service failures occur.

• Proactively communicate with brokers and customers about status updates, delays, and changes.

• Manage driver schedules, home-time requests, available hours, and operational challenges.

• Build relationships with brokers, customers, and transportation partners.

• Understand freight markets, lanes, backhaul opportunities, seasonal variations, and rate conditions.

• Ensure load and operational data are accurately maintained in company systems.

• Collaborate with Operations, Safety, Maintenance, and other departments.

• Take accountability for the service, utilization, revenue, RPM, and profitability of the assigned fleet.

⛳️ Requirements

• A minimum of 1 year of practical U.S. trucking dispatch experience.

• Experience in managing multiple trucks and drivers at the same time.

• Proven experience in actively sourcing, negotiating, and booking freight.

• Familiarity with DAT, Truckstop, or similar load-board platforms.

• Strong knowledge of U.S. geography and freight lanes, especially in the Midwest and Southeast.

• Understanding of RPM, deadhead, utilization, driver hours, and the financial implications of dispatch decisions.

• Strong skills in rate negotiation and problem-solving.

• Excellent written and spoken English communication skills.

• Ability to communicate professionally with drivers, customers, brokers, and colleagues.

• Capacity to stay calm, organized, and decisive when plans shift.
