Dispatcher

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in New Jersey.

📋 Description

• Handle customer service inquiries and generate tickets within SHI’s call management system.

• Assign work orders to Field Service Technicians for repairs on IT and point-of-sale hardware.

• Interact with SHI team members and clients through phone calls, Microsoft Teams, and email.

• Oversee and manage call assignments to ensure that requests are appropriately assigned and accepted.

• Implement system corrections and modifications based on feedback from the field.

• Check email for service requests and urgent communications.

• Adjust technician schedules to accurately reflect any changes.

• Confirm that service requests include all necessary customer details and required dispatch information.

• Provide support for a 24/7 operational environment through adaptable and on-call coverage.

⛳️ Requirements

• Must possess a High School Diploma or GED.

• Preferred experience with Microsoft Office tools.

• Prior experience as a dispatcher or in a call center/help desk environment is desirable.

• Capable of effectively multitasking and prioritizing in a dynamic, high-volume environment.

• Basic experience in organizing and maintaining contracts and insurance certificates.

• Basic experience utilizing Microsoft SharePoint for document management, collaboration, and workflow automation.

• Basic experience in managing and maintaining computer systems and networks.

• Basic experience handling incoming mail.

• Willingness to work flexible shifts, including evenings and weekends.

• Availability for on-call overnight shifts to respond to emergency calls.
