Director – Workforce Development

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.

📋 Description

• Develop and execute a detailed strategy for workforce funding and partnerships.

• Obtain student tuition support and promote the objectives of Ancora institutions, brands, and students.

• Create and implement a strategy for workforce boards and partner development, which includes research techniques, target sources, timelines, collaborators, resources, and anticipated outcomes.

• Act as the main community liaison and advocate for Ancora schools, students, local businesses, and communities.

• Analyze labor market information and keep track of news updates, social media, industry websites, grants, and relevant requests for proposals.

• Build, nurture, and sustain relationships with government bodies, funding organizations, corporations, and industry collaborators.

• Provide partners with consistent update reports regarding the effects of their investments.

• Collaborate with Academic and Admissions Teams to monitor and communicate the needs of workforce agencies or partners.

• Assist in shaping program development to meet workforce requirements.

• Work alongside admissions and finance teams to comprehend and address student tuition support needs.

• Collaborate with academics, campus personnel, and compliance staff to understand program offerings and the demographics of the student body served.

• Ensure that activities, applications, and documentation comply with ethical and legal standards.

• Promote Ancora brands through written materials and presentations.

• Serve as a prominent ambassador for the school’s mission.


⛳️ Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree from an accredited institution in Marketing, Communications, Non-Profit Management, Business Administration, Public Relations, or a related field.

• 3–5 years of progressive experience in workforce agencies, workforce funding, or grant writing.

• A proven track record of identifying, composing, and securing competitive Requests for Proposals (RFPs) and institutional grants, preferably in the education and/or non-profit sector.

• Direct experience within a non-profit school organization, private school, or higher education system is preferred.

• Familiarity with tuition assistance frameworks, financial aid, and student demographics is preferred.

• A Master’s degree in Non-Profit Management, Public Administration (MPA), or Business Administration (MBA) is preferred.

• Certified Grant Professional (GPC) credential is preferred.

• Proven experience as a public-facing representative and in establishing strategic partnerships between organizations and local industries or community leaders.

• Practical experience with grant finding and management databases such as Instrumentl, Grants.gov, Candid’s Foundation Directory, or equivalents.

• Capability to occasionally lift and/or move up to 25 pounds.

• Ability to fulfill the physical demands required, including extended periods of sitting at a desk and working on a computer.
