This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Australia.
• Design and oversee the global operational framework for Technology Vendor Management teams, ensuring consistency, governance, capacity planning, and operational performance.
• Collaborate with functional leaders across Business Process Services, Financial Management, Reporting & Controls, Software, Infrastructure, IT Labor & Cloud to streamline processes, eliminate redundancies, and enhance productivity.
• Formulate and implement the AI and automation strategy for Technology Vendor Management.
• Recognize high-value AI use cases, deploy AI-enabled workflows, and integrate automation into fundamental vendor management processes.
• Establish operational governance, performance metrics, and executive reporting that encompass productivity, service quality, risk management, and business outcomes.
• Direct strategic programs and cross-functional initiatives that support the TVM roadmap, including process transformation, location strategy, operational readiness, and enterprise tool implementations.
• Create Outcome Key Results and monitor them until completion.
• Standardize processes, document best practices, and implement scalable operational controls.
• Build a high-performing global team that promotes collaboration, innovation, and career advancement.
• Collaborate with Enterprise Technology, Finance, Risk, Global Supply Management, and other stakeholders to ensure alignment of operational priorities with enterprise objectives and American Express Leadership Behaviors.
• Over 10 years of experience in Technology Operations, Business Operations, Program Management Office (PMO), Shared Services, Technology Business Management (TBM), Vendor Management, or a similar field.
• A Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Information Technology, Computer Science, Engineering, Finance, Operations Management, or a related area.
• Proven track record of leading large-scale operational transformations, process optimizations, and enterprise-wide initiatives within a complex technology environment.
• Demonstrated success in influencing senior leadership and achieving cross-functional alignment without direct authority.
• Experience in establishing operational governance, OKRs, executive reporting, workforce planning, and performance management.
• Strong analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making capabilities with the ability to convert data into actionable business insights.
• Exceptional written and verbal communication skills, with experience in presenting to executive leadership.
