This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in New Jersey.
• Lead and spearhead initiatives aimed at transforming Patient Access revenue cycle operations to enhance efficiency and effectiveness across the entire revenue cycle for clients.
• Oversee project plans, timelines, and ensure timely completion of deliverables.
• Create reports, presentations, and documentation to track, assess, and communicate the impact of Patient Access initiatives.
• Enhance tracking tools and establish quality, process, financial, and patient satisfaction Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) and metrics.
• Act as a subject matter expert in Patient Access for clients and team members.
• Collaborate with colleagues and client representatives to identify business challenges and modify implementation strategies and methodologies accordingly.
• Analyze data, report trends in denials and procedural issues, and suggest corrective measures.
• Formulate scalable transition plans to maintain improvements.
• Assist in the development and enhancement of revenue cycle assessment and implementation methodologies.
• Assess current operational states and devise blueprints for transitioning to the desired future state.
• Set realistic and measurable objectives and priorities that align with organizational goals.
• Utilize, safeguard, and disclose patients’ protected health information in compliance with HIPAA standards.
• Adhere to Information Security and HIPAA policies and procedures.
• Limit access to protected health information to the minimum necessary.
• Perform additional duties as assigned.
• A Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Healthcare Administration, Finance, or a related field is preferred.
• Demonstrated experience in a leadership capacity within revenue cycle services, ideally in a hospital-based healthcare setting.
• At least 7 years of experience in healthcare operations related to patient access, covering pre-scheduling, scheduling, insurance verification, authorization, financial counseling, and denial prevention.
• A minimum of 7 years of experience in healthcare consulting.
• Proven track record in leading large-scale strategic development and implementations in Patient Access.
• Professional certifications such as CHAA or CHAM, or demonstrable progress towards such certifications, are advantageous.
• Advanced proficiency in Excel and experience in financial modeling and analysis.
• Strong skills in Microsoft PowerPoint and Word.
• Familiarity with SQL, SPSS, Power BI, benchmarking, and MGMA survey data is a plus.
• Project leadership and workplan management experience in conducting opportunity assessments within a consulting firm, specifically focused on patient access revenue cycle areas.
• Comprehensive understanding of revenue cycle management principles and practices.
• Knowledge of governmental, legal, and regulatory requirements pertaining to front-end revenue cycle operations at both state and federal levels.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with a data-driven decision-making approach.
• Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, dynamic environment while juggling multiple priorities and deadlines.
• Willingness to travel occasionally and flexibility to work outside of regular business hours when necessary.
• Must have a smartphone or electronic device that can download applications for multifactor authentication and security purposes.
• Ability to follow directions, collaborate effectively, and manage stress.
