This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Arizona.

📋 Description

• Lead the evaluation of supplier performance and implement strategies to enhance quality metrics, minimize escapes, and reduce PPM.

• Spearhead targeted initiatives that focus on critical quality-impact areas throughout the supplier network.

• Direct the enterprise-wide Root Cause Corrective Action (RCCA) strategy for suppliers.

• Supervise technical quality personnel to provide supplier support, on-site engagement, coaching, and resolution of intricate technical challenges.

• Oversee quality and process-readiness aspects of work transfer planning and execution.

• Develop and uphold standardized RCCA processes, training materials, and performance metrics.

• Collaborate with Supplier Quality, Operations, Engineering, and Program leadership to address systemic supplier issues.

• Analyze supplier performance data to identify trends, eliminate root causes, and guide strategic quality initiatives.

• Foster relationships with key suppliers and enhance their problem-solving capabilities.

• Lead cross-functional investigations for significant escapes and coordinate corrective action plans along with executive briefings.

• Manage and nurture RCCA specialists, quality engineers, and technical staff.

• Assist suppliers in preparing for new product launches, rate increases, and major transitions.

• Ensure consistent application of quality standards, methods, and tools across processes.

• Provide updates to the Executive Director of Supplier Assurance and other senior leadership members.

• Willingness to travel to supplier sites as necessary, potentially up to 75% of the time.


⛳️ Requirements

• Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent experience along with a minimum of fourteen (14) years of relevant experience, or an advanced degree in a related field with at least twelve (12) years of experience.

• Relevant background in supplier quality, manufacturing engineering, operations, or other engineering disciplines.

• 14 years of experience in driving root cause analysis, containment, irreversible corrective actions, structured problem solving (Red X), and quality systems implementation.

• Experience in the aerospace and defense sector or similarly complex industries.

• Proven experience in leading and mentoring technical teams.

• U.S. citizenship is required.

• Capability to obtain and maintain a U.S. government-issued security clearance.

• Active and existing DoD Secret security clearance must be obtained by day 1.

• Must be able to reside and work from one of the 50 U.S. states, excluding U.S. territories.

• Willingness and ability to travel up to 75% of the time to supplier locations.

• Preferred: demonstrated ownership of supplier manufacturing outcomes from start to finish.

• Preferred: leadership experience in fostering a high-performance culture.

• Preferred: Supplier Quality experience within the automotive sector or similarly complex, regulated environments.

• Preferred: experience in leading production operations for highly engineered products.

• Preferred: experience in managing technical teams and driving cross-functional initiatives.

• Preferred: strong analytical capabilities.

• Preferred: exceptional communication, leadership, and stakeholder engagement skills.
