This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in New York, +4 more states.
• Proactively identify, generate, and cultivate a pipeline of acquisition opportunities across designated regions.
• Oversee transactions from initial outreach to targets, preliminary financial assessments, due diligence, Letter of Intent negotiation, deal structuring, and final agreements.
• Anticipate and address challenges related to physicians, regulations, valuations, and other transaction obstacles.
• Formulate and implement multi-year growth strategies to achieve census growth, market share, and clinical outreach objectives.
• Conduct market analyses, whitespace evaluations, and assessments of physician supply and demand.
• Keep a close watch on competitor actions, market consolidation, and provider partnerships.
• Establish and nurture relationships with independent nephrology groups, health system executives, and decision-makers in practices.
• Source and design Medical Director Agreements, joint ventures, and value-based care arrangements.
• Collaborate with Division Vice Presidents, Regional Operations Directors, Field Strategy, and Finance teams.
• Mentor operational colleagues on physician engagement and growth strategies.
• Lead by influence across clinical, legal, regulatory, and financial functions.
• Promote DaVita’s core values and adherence to healthcare compliance standards.
• Identify barriers to growth, develop strategies to overcome them, and contribute to national Pegasus initiatives.
• A bachelor's degree is required.
• An MBA, MHA, or similar master’s degree is strongly preferred.
• At least 5 years of progressive experience in healthcare business development, corporate development/M&A, healthcare management consulting, physician practice management, or healthcare operations.
• Proven track record in originating, assessing, negotiating, and finalizing healthcare transactions, joint ventures, or strategic partnerships.
• Strong commercial and financial acumen, including experience with pro forma analysis, deal modeling, and P&L dynamics.
• Outstanding written and verbal communication abilities.
• Capability to establish credibility with C-suite executives, physician leaders, and internal executive stakeholders.
• High level of self-motivation, resourcefulness, and resilience.
• Willingness to travel 30%–50% within a designated multi-state area.
• Ability to adhere to healthcare compliance standards, partner selection criteria, and regulatory requirements.
