This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Texas.
• Oversee and manage financial and accounting controls for operational businesses and commercial real estate properties.
• Recognize key performance indicators, conduct cash flow forecasting, and assist operational demands across various sectors.
• Generate precise work products for both internal and external stakeholders.
• Execute 13-week cash flow and three-statement financial modeling and forecasting.
• Manage tasks at both entry-level and executive levels for the same account.
• Prepare comprehensive written and financial documentation and presentations.
• Counsel clients on bankruptcy matters, enhancements in working capital, liquidation assessments, loan negotiations/modifications, and claims processes.
• Present information to C-suite executives, bankers, attorneys, and business proprietors.
• Collaborate with senior leadership and client stakeholders to meet project objectives.
• Spot business development prospects and cultivate client and business relationships.
• Oversee timelines and deliverables across various projects and sectors.
• Propel process enhancements and operational excellence.
• Manage project schedules, deliverables, and budgets effectively.
• Uphold ethical standards and maintain credibility.
• Travel up to 40% to client locations, including across the western United States.
• 7-12 years of advancing experience in finance, accounting, or consulting within a dynamic environment.
• Bachelor’s degree in finance or accounting.
• Certified Public Accountant (CPA), Certified Insolvency and Restructuring Advisor (CIRA), Chartered Financial Analyst (CFA), Certified Fraud Examiner (CFE), and/or Certified Turnaround Professional (CTP) are advantageous.
• Highly organized with outstanding written and verbal presentation capabilities.
• Proficient in Excel (V-Lookup / Pivot Tables), PowerPoint, Word, and Outlook.
• Strong analytical skills and capacity to distill large datasets.
• Demonstrated leadership experience with the ability to guide and mentor a team.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities, with a knack for influencing and negotiating.
• Proven history of managing intricate projects and achieving exceptional outcomes.
• Capability to independently generate and compose high-quality work products with minimal oversight.
• Ability to work autonomously and collaboratively as part of a team.
• Willingness to travel as dictated by client service needs.
• Experience with Big 4 accounting or consulting firms is a plus.
• Familiarity with various accounting systems is a plus.
• Understanding of restructuring, turnaround management, bankruptcy, distressed assets, receiverships, and sell-side M&A is advantageous.
• Must be able to remain seated for extended periods.
• Comfortable operating in a remote and/or hybrid work setting.
• Must be adaptable to work outside of standard business hours (8:30am–5:30pm) when necessary.
