
Director, Sponsorship Sales – Partnerships

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.
• Cultivate and enhance strategic global sponsor relationships by analyzing accounts, engaging multiple senior contacts, and exploring new budgets, business units, regions, and functions.
• Maintain account strategies, a designated account portfolio, and well-defined growth objectives for each partnership.
• Act as the primary relationship manager for assigned accounts, ensuring alignment between sponsor objectives and NeuGroup outcomes.
• Manage and expand a pipeline of new sponsors across peer groups, events, and digital platforms, or grow NeuGroup for Value Creation (NGVC), based on performance history.
• Promote partnerships centered around Enabled Outcomes by leveraging member advocacy and documented success stories.
• Utilize research, benchmarks, and member achievements to craft compelling narratives and proposals for sponsors.
• Create and present proposals, pricing models, and multi-year strategies.
• Maintain individual sales quotas, monitor pipeline activity, forecast revenue, and report performance metrics to leadership.
• Contribute to the development of a high-performance sales culture with healthy competition, shared standards, and accountability.
• Represent NeuGroup at industry-related events, conferences, and member gatherings.
• Collaborate with marketing, member relations, content, research, and sales teams to synchronize pipeline initiatives and fulfill sponsor commitments.
• Over 7 years of experience in sponsorship, media, or partnership sales, preferably in B2B, financial services, or professional membership/association environments.
• Demonstrated success in expanding enterprise accounts within large, global organizations, including engaging senior budget holders and navigating new units, regions, and functions.
• Proven history in new business development or selling to private equity, as well as launching new products in the market.
• Capability to sell partnership outcomes and value rather than merely inventory.
• Consistent record of achieving or surpassing revenue targets in a competitive, metrics-focused sales environment.
• Experience managing the complete sales cycle from prospecting to closing deals.
• Proficiency in utilizing research and data as sales tools, collaborating with analysts and researchers to refine pitches.
• Exceptional relationship-building and consultative selling abilities with senior executives.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills, including expertise in proposal writing and negotiation.
• Ability to work independently while fostering collaboration across teams.
• Familiarity with private equity, portfolio-company operations, and peer learning is advantageous.
• An established network within private equity firms, portfolio companies, global banking, or solution providers is a plus.
• Experience in selling sponsorships linked to research, benchmarking, or thought leadership content is a nice-to-have.
• Background in treasury, corporate finance, or related B2B sectors is a plus.
• Eligible for an uncapped commission structure.
• On-target earnings (OTE) of approximately $215,000+ in the first year.
