This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.
• Design, implement, and enhance NAIS programs, resources, and learning experiences focused on student belonging, engagement, well-being, voice and agency, and school climate.
• Assist the Vice President in promoting portfolio priorities and initiatives.
• Keep track of research, field trends, and member needs to discover opportunities for new or enhanced programs and services.
• Utilize subject matter expertise to guide the design, development, implementation, and evaluation of portfolio initiatives.
• Create content and represent the portfolio through writing, presentations, convenings, and other field-facing engagements.
• Spearhead the development and ongoing enhancement of programs, toolkits, guides, learning experiences, and additional resources for member schools.
• Convert research, field insights, and school-based practices into actionable resources and recommendations.
• Collaborate with Program Managers and cross-functional colleagues to strategize projects, define deliverables, coordinate dependencies, and oversee initiatives through implementation and evaluation.
• Provide content leadership for conferences, workshops, webinars, cohorts, Gather sessions, and other NAIS initiatives.
• Monitor progress, anticipate risks, resolve obstacles, and communicate decisions and resource requirements.
• Work with research teams to establish priorities, interpret findings, and leverage insights for strategy, programs, and resources.
• Cultivate relationships with educators, students, researchers, practitioners, consultants, volunteers, and partner organizations.
• Create feedback loops and success metrics to evaluate relevance, quality, and impact.
• Stay updated on advancements in student experience, youth development, school climate, belonging, and well-being.
• Contribute to collaboration, accountability, innovation, and exceptional service for members.
• Perform additional duties as assigned.
• Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience in education, educational leadership, psychology, youth development, public policy, research, social sciences, or a related field.
• At least seven years of progressive professional experience in education, student experience, school climate, youth development, mental health or wellness, applied research, program leadership, or a similar field.
• Proven expertise in student belonging, engagement, well-being, school climate, youth development, mental health and wellness, or student voice and agency.
• Demonstrated success in translating strategic priorities into programs, resources, or services from concept to implementation.
• Proven ability to manage complex, cross-functional projects from initial concept through to execution.
• Experience utilizing research, surveys, evaluation results, and stakeholder feedback to guide decisions and enhance programs or resources.
• Excellent skills in writing, synthesis, facilitation, presentation, and relationship-building.
• Ability to collaborate and influence across functions without relying on direct authority.
• Experience in diverse K–12 educational settings.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and web-based collaboration tools.
• A Master's degree in a related field is preferred.
• Experience in K-12 independent school settings is preferred.
• Knowledge of independent schools, professional associations, and the wider educational landscape is preferred.
• Experience creating research-informed resources, professional learning opportunities, or field-facing thought leadership is preferred.
• Moderate travel opportunities.
