This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in New York.
• Design and execute a thorough S&OP framework, encompassing processes, roles, calendars, inputs/outputs, and decision rights.
• Spearhead the implementation and launch of S&OP via pilot cycles, refinement, and full-scale execution.
• Establish and uphold the standard S&OP cycle, which includes demand review, supply/capacity review, pre-S&OP, and executive S&OP.
• Lead organizational change management initiatives, provide stakeholder training, and offer coaching.
• Construct aggregate demand planning models utilizing statistical forecasts, commercial intelligence, and product/market insights.
• Formulate supply and capacity planning models for production, kitting, distribution, and resource allocation.
• Develop integrated scenario and sensitivity models to aid executive decision-making.
• Align inventory targets, safety stocks, and service-level objectives with demand and supply plans.
• Create NPI and product lifecycle planning models for launches, ramps, phase-ins/outs, and portfolio adjustments.
• Collaborate with Product Management, Clinical/Study Management, Commercial, Operations, Supply Chain, Finance, and Product/Clinical functions.
• Facilitate monthly executive S&OP meetings and drive consensus decisions, trade-offs, and formal plan approvals.
• Document, communicate, and disseminate S&OP decisions, risks, and assumptions into functional plans and operational execution.
• Partner with Finance to connect S&OP outputs to financial plans and budgets.
• Define S&OP policies, standards, governance, data definitions, planning hierarchies, and performance metrics.
• Lead the selection, enhancement, or implementation of S&OP/IBP tools and analytics in collaboration with IT and functional owners.
• Establish KPIs and continuous improvement initiatives.
• Benchmark S&OP practices against industry standards.
• Build and manage a small S&OP/planning team.
• Coach leaders and planners on planning discipline, scenario thinking, and root cause analysis.
• Champion enterprise-wide alignment of strategy, demand, supply, and financial outcomes.
• Bachelor’s degree in Business, Supply Chain/Operations Management, Data Analytics, Statistics, Finance, or a related field.
• 7 years of progressively responsible experience in supply chain, planning, S&OP/IBP, or related positions.
• 3 years of progressive leadership experience is required.
• Demonstrated experience in implementing or leading S&OP/IBP processes and tools.
• Proficiency in advanced planning systems, analytics/BI tools, and Excel/other modeling tools.
• In-depth, hands-on knowledge of demand planning, supply planning, capacity modeling, and inventory management.
• Proven track record in establishing S&OP or IBP from the ground up or transforming an existing process, including change management.
• Strong executive presence and capability to facilitate cross-functional and C-suite discussions.
• Exceptional modeling skills and comfort with scenario and sensitivity analysis.
• Excellent communication skills and the ability to translate complex planning outputs into clear business narratives.
• APICS/ASCM certifications such as CPIM or CSCP.
• PMP or equivalent project management certification.
• Lean Six Sigma Green or Black Belt, or a similar continuous improvement credential.
• Advanced degree (MBA or similar) is preferred.
• 3–5 years in a leadership role driving cross-functional planning is preferred.
