This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Florida, +2 more states.
• Collaborate with executive leaders at national and regional nonprofit organizations to expand the customer base and secure new business opportunities.
• Develop comprehensive business and territory plans to achieve annual targets and quotas in partnership with the Business Development Representative (BDR) team.
• Identify new prospects through outbound efforts and industry networking events, including Dreamforce and NTC/NTEN.
• Oversee the complete customer relationship lifecycle from initial outreach to contract signing and project completion support.
• Facilitate discovery discussions addressing nonprofit program objectives, fundraising challenges, and constituent engagement goals.
• Showcase Salesforce products, such as Nonprofit Cloud and Grant Management, in alignment with the organizations' strategic plans and theories of change.
• Offer professional post-sales support to enhance customer relationships and ensure long-term success.
• Maintain forecasting and pipeline management practices to provide visibility for leadership.
• Mentor junior Business Development team members and offer guidance and support.
• Collaborate with Salesforce Nonprofit/Higher Education RVPs and AEs to promote co-prime opportunities within the Salesforce.org ecosystem.
• Work alongside Coastal Business Unit Leadership to synchronize business development pursuits with project execution.
• Prepare estimates and Statements of Work (SOWs) that consider nonprofit budget limitations, grant timelines, and compliance needs.
• Draft and present SOWs in accordance with the Coastal methodology, detailing scope, objectives, requirements, fees, and assumptions.
• Travel as necessary to facilitate sales processes and finalize deals.
• Minimum of 5 years demonstrated experience as a Salesforce Delivery Consultant or in a similar capacity.
• Ideally, 5+ years of sales experience; however, candidates with less experience may be considered if they display a strong passion and enthusiasm for sales.
• Proven track record of portfolio growth.
• Familiarity with the Salesforce ecosystem.
• Capability to take initiative and actively pursue sales opportunities.
• Dedication to fostering long-term customer relationships and securing business through trusted partnerships.
• A consultative approach with insights into nonprofit governance, board relations, and fundraising cycles.
• Knowledge of Salesforce portfolio solutions including Mulesoft, Tableau, and Slack, along with established relationships within these areas.
• Exceptional communication, preparation, strategy, presentation, and execution abilities.
• Proficient in collaboratively managing a sales cycle alongside pre-sales, delivery, subject matter experts, and industry stakeholders.
• Strong organizational skills with a meticulous approach to complex grant or RFP processes.
• Experience using Salesforce, Zoominfo, and LinkedIn.
• Must possess full-time, permanent work authorization in the US.
• A Bachelor's Degree is preferred, or equivalent experience is acceptable.
• Background as a Salesforce Consultant, ideally with an implementation partner.
