Director, Revenue Cycle Management PMO – Transformation

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.

📋 Description

• Oversee the RCM project portfolio, establish priorities, and guarantee that initiatives yield quantifiable financial and operational outcomes.

• Collaborate with RCM Operations, Clinical Operations and Coding, Strategy and Analytics, Market Access, Finance, IT, Product, Compliance, and vendors.

• Maintain a prioritized list of active, planned, paused, and completed RCM projects.

• Require project sponsors, owners, outcomes, effort estimates, dependencies, and timelines before commencing work.

• Advise on which initiatives should be initiated, paused, discontinued, or delayed based on their impact, risk, and capacity.

• Provide executive-level reports on progress, risks, missed deadlines, resource needs, anticipated benefits, and necessary decisions.

• Escalate issues related to ownership, scope, funding, timing, vendors, and resources along with recommendations.

• Identify projects at risk and mandate recovery plans.

• Lead initiatives related to RCM processes, technology, vendors, analytics, and automation.

• Define future workflows, roles, requirements, controls, exception handling, and handoff procedures.

• Ensure that requirements, testing, training, go-live support, and operational transitions are fully executed.

• Establish baselines, target outcomes, owners, data sources, and evaluation methods.

• Review post-implementation results and require corrective measures when outcomes or adoption rates fall short of expectations.

• Delegate PMO tasks and mentor staff while upholding standards for planning, reporting, escalation, testing, launch, and closure.

⛳️ Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in healthcare administration, business, finance, information systems, a clinical discipline, or a related field.

• 7+ years of progressive experience in healthcare RCM, healthcare operations, consulting, transformation, or program management.

• Over 5 years of experience leading complex programs, managing multiple concurrent projects, or overseeing cross-functional teams, including leadership roles.

• Strong understanding of the complete healthcare revenue cycle and payer reimbursement processes.

• Ability to prioritize tasks, resolve ownership conflicts, communicate effectively with executives, and achieve measurable results.

• Experience leading projects that involve operational teams, technology, vendors, data, testing, training, compliance, and change management.

• Consulting experience in RCM strategy and transformation is preferred.

• Familiarity with diagnostic, molecular, genetic, pathology, specialty laboratory, or other complex reimbursement environments is preferred.

• PMP, PgMP, Lean Six Sigma, HFMA, Prosci, revenue cycle, or similar certification is preferred.

• Experience with Quadax, Salesforce, clearinghouses, payer portals, laboratory billing systems, Jira, Microsoft project tools, BI tools, automation, or AI-enabled workflows is preferred.

• Ability to safeguard patient, client, employee, financial, and business information while adhering to company policies, HIPAA, and relevant regulatory requirements.
