
Director, Quality – Gas Power Generation

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Minnesota.
• Develop, implement, execute, and continually enhance Blattner’s Quality Program across all projects and operational functions.
• Provide strong, visible leadership for quality assurance, quality control, product conformity, and execution reliability.
• Establish standards of accountability and quality expectations throughout all business units in preconstruction and construction operations.
• Recruit, develop, coach, and oversee the performance of Quality team members.
• Lead the ongoing development, refinement, and implementation of the Quality Program in alignment with company strategy, customer requirements, regulatory standards, and contractual obligations.
• Define systems for monitoring and actively managing Quality KPIs.
• Proactively address negative trends and drive continuous improvement initiatives.
• Ensure consistent execution of the Quality Program across projects in collaboration with Project Management teams.
• Establish processes for root cause analysis of nonconformities and ensure corrective and preventive measures are implemented.
• Identify talent gaps and spearhead workforce development initiatives.
• Bachelor’s degree in construction management, engineering, quality management, or a related discipline; or a comparable combination of education and experience is required.
• A minimum of 7 years of experience in construction and quality management, including at least 3 years of prior leadership experience in utility-scale natural gas power generation, heavy industrial, or EPC field execution.
• Extensive knowledge of relevant industry codes and standards (NESC, ASTM, ACI, IEEE, OSHA, etc.).
• Proven success in building and leading teams within complex construction or EPC environments.
• Ability to translate quality philosophy into practical standards for field execution.
• Strong skills in performance management, coaching, and personnel development.
• Ability to synthesize complex data into actionable, predictive decision-making frameworks.
• Demonstrated ability to influence cross-functional peers without direct authority.
• Regular travel is required.
• Experience in the gas power generation sector is preferred.
