This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.

📋 Description

• Develop and implement the roadmap for the Cars.com and Dealer Inspire media platforms.

• Take ownership of product strategy and roadmap for on-site advertising within the Cars.com marketplace, encompassing ad placements, innovative ad formats, and ad-serving technology.

• Balance the growth of advertising revenue with an exceptional visitor experience for OEM and dealer customers.

• Collaborate on the strategy and growth of the Cars.com Media Network using first-party audience data across programmatic, social, connected TV, streaming video, online video, display, and audio channels.

• Define and lead the media technology and data roadmap that supports media planning, purchasing, delivery, and automation across Cars.com Media Network and Dealer Inspire Media Services.

• Work together on media measurement and attribution, covering identity resolution, closed-loop measurement, and third-party automotive sales data sources.

• Provide recommendations on whether to build, buy, or partner for media and advertising technology capabilities.

• Ensure that media products and data practices adhere to privacy regulations and industry standards.

• Comprehend dealer needs, prioritize issues, and make trade-offs among scope, cost, schedule, and business benefits.

• Collaborate with leaders across various functions to enhance processes and align teams towards objectives.

• Define, track, and assess team KPIs and OKRs; communicate achievements and areas for improvement.

• Establish expertise and thought leadership within the CARS product domain.

• Share roadmaps, updates, and accomplishments throughout the organization.

• Coordinate interconnected roadmaps among internal teams.


⛳️ Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in business, computer science, economics, or a related field; or equivalent professional experience.

• A minimum of 10 years of experience in product management or as a product management leader across mobile and web platforms.

• At least 3 years of experience in leading and developing a team of product managers.

• Proven track record of 0-1 and 1-N product development for impactful, high-visibility products.

• Experience in defining and implementing high-level product strategy.

• Background in building and scaling advertising or media products for a digital publisher, audience-based media network, or similar advertising enterprise.

• Familiarity with advertising technology, including Google Ad Manager, Operative, YieldEx, Burt, DV360, The Trade Desk, Amazon DSP, Meta, TikTok, LiveRamp, and Neustar.

• Strong grasp of audience data activation, first-party data strategy, privacy-compliant data practices, and relevant data privacy regulations.

• Experience with identity, media measurement, and attribution.

• History of collaborating with sales and revenue teams to translate customer needs into product specifications and prioritized roadmaps.

• Proven experience in building and leading high-performing teams.

• A product sense with a deep understanding of UX design principles and product experimentation, including A/B testing and user testing.

• Strong analytical abilities and a commitment to data-driven decision-making.

• Experience throughout the complete product process, from strategy to delivery.

• Understanding of product management, lean product development, and agile methodologies.

• Experience in defining KPIs and product metrics and utilizing them to inform decisions.

• Candidates for US-based positions must be authorized to work in the United States.

• An MBA or other advanced degree is preferred.

• Experience as a software engineer and in e-commerce, media, retail, marketplaces, martech, transportation, logistics, or similar sectors is advantageous.

• Familiarity with data clean room technologies and privacy-compliant data collaboration methods is a plus.

• Skills in SQL, Tableau, and/or other data analysis tools are desirable.
