Director, Product Management – Health Data Interoperability

📋 Description

• Develop and implement the long-term product strategy and roadmap for health data interoperability solutions.

• Recognize emerging market opportunities and industry trends related to healthcare interoperability, data exchange, patient access, and care coordination.

• Foster product innovation that aligns with organizational goals, customer needs, and standards in the healthcare industry.

• Collaborate with executive leadership to set strategic priorities and make investment decisions.

• Oversee the complete product lifecycle from concept to launch, adoption, optimization, and retirement.

• Assess product investments based on customer value, business impact, competitive positioning, and regulatory needs.

• Create business cases, success metrics, and ROI analyses.

• Establish product KPIs and evaluate performance through adoption, revenue growth, customer satisfaction, and operational outcomes.

• Lead product strategy for interoperability standards such as HL7, FHIR, APIs, CDA, X12, and other emerging frameworks.

• Ensure that products adhere to healthcare data exchange regulations and compliance requirements.

• Enhance capabilities for clinical data integration, patient access, provider workflows, and overall healthcare ecosystem interoperability.

• Collaborate with internal and external stakeholders to promote interoperability initiatives and integration partnerships.

• Work alongside Engineering, Architecture, Security, Compliance, and Clinical teams to convert business requirements into scalable technical solutions.

• Partner with Sales, Marketing, and Customer Success to bolster product positioning, customer acquisition, and adoption.

• Engage with customers, healthcare organizations, and industry partners to collect feedback and validate product direction.

• Act as the executive product leader for interoperability initiatives.

• Mentor and develop 4–5 Product Owners and Product Managers.

• Establish best practices for product management, governance processes, and operational models.

• Foster organizational alignment around product priorities and strategic initiatives.

⛳️ Requirements

• More than 10 years of progressive experience in Product Management, Healthcare Technology, Health Informatics, or Interoperability Solutions.

• Over 5 years of experience leading product teams and managing complex healthcare technology portfolios.

• At least 5 years of experience in building and scaling enterprise SaaS, platform, API, or healthcare data products.

• A minimum of 4 years of hands-on experience with healthcare interoperability standards and frameworks, including HL7, FHIR, SMART on FHIR, CDA, X12, TEFCA, and related healthcare data exchange technologies.

• At least 4 years of demonstrated success in developing product strategies and achieving measurable business outcomes.

• More than 3 years of experience with cloud-based platforms, APIs, data platforms, and healthcare integration technologies.

• Strong skills in executive communication and stakeholder management.

• Expertise in product lifecycle management, roadmap development, market analysis, and portfolio prioritization.

• Experience with EHR platforms such as Epic, Cerner/Oracle Health, Meditech, or Athenahealth.

• Knowledge of CMS interoperability mandates, information blocking regulations, and healthcare data exchange requirements.

• SAFe Agile or a similar certification.

• Bachelor's degree in Business, Healthcare Administration, Computer Science, Engineering, Health Informatics, or a related field.

• Master's degree in Business Administration (MBA), Health Informatics, Computer Science, or a related field.
