This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in New Jersey.
• Take ownership of the strategy, roadmap, business case, and product lifecycle for Portfolio Health while advancing a comprehensive Portfolio Decision Intelligence vision.
• Drive customer and market exploration in collaboration with carrier product leaders, underwriting executives, actuaries, and key decision-makers.
• Define product requirements, prioritize the backlog, and oversee A/B testing initiatives.
• Collaborate with engineering, data science, design, and insurance specialists to deliver AI-driven software solutions.
• Develop experiences that identify significant portfolio changes, articulate their significance, suggest responsible next steps, and facilitate customer learning from outcomes.
• Ensure that recommendations are grounded in reliable data, transparent evidence, appropriate governance, and human oversight.
• Manage products from conception through launch and uptake, which includes positioning, packaging, pricing, sales enablement, and implementation support.
• Set metrics for customer value, uptake, revenue, retention, and product performance.
• Oversee product-level financial planning, forecasting, and performance reporting.
• Foster alignment among business, technology, data, legal, compliance, sales, marketing, and operations teams.
• Mentor emerging product managers and contribute to the establishment of product management practices.
• Generally, 8+ years of experience in product management, insurance product leadership, insurance technology, or a related discipline.
• Significant experience in property and casualty insurance, underwriting, portfolio management, insurance data and analytics, or a related risk-technology sector.
• Proven track record of guiding complex software or analytics products from discovery to launch, customer adoption, and achieving measurable business outcomes.
• Experience in identifying unmet needs, conducting discovery, assessing competitors, and translating insights into product decisions.
• Background in partnering with engineering and data science teams within Agile or iterative delivery frameworks.
• Strong commercial acumen in areas such as positioning, go-to-market strategy, pricing, packaging, forecasting, and revenue enhancement.
• Aptitude for simplifying intricate insurance, data, and technology concepts into clear requirements, decisions, and executive narratives.
• Exceptional cross-functional leadership capabilities, with the ability to challenge constructively, provide clarity, and advance decisions without formal authority.
• Experience in mentoring product managers or developing talent.
• A bachelor’s degree or equivalent practical experience.
• Capability to effectively partner with technical teams on AI-driven products without being the team’s AI architect.
• Proficiency in balancing urgency and experimentation with disciplined validation, responsible controls, and accountability.
• Particularly valuable: experience with Verisk products, data, customers, or operational environments.
• Particularly valuable: experience at an insurer, insurance-data provider, property-intelligence firm, core-platform provider, catastrophe-modeling company, or insurtech.
• Particularly valuable: experience in commercializing analytics, decision-support, workflow, SaaS, or AI-enabled products for enterprise insurance clients.
• Particularly valuable: experience with portfolio analytics, underwriting strategy, identification of profitable growth, experimentation, or workflow orchestration.
