This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Massachusetts.
• Take ownership of the global commercial performance of the Asset Management practice, encompassing revenue, growth, and profit.
• Develop annual plans and long-term trajectories, making informed decisions regarding investments, pricing, and rationalization.
• Establish the offering strategy and multi-year roadmap, identifying segments, offerings to develop, scale, partner on, or retire, along with competitive positioning.
• Create the customer value proposition and manage pricing, packaging, rate card architecture, and supporting business-case evidence.
• Oversee the entire service development lifecycle from concept and design to business case, pilot, launch, hypercare, and scaled delivery.
• Direct go-to-market strategies and sales enablement efforts, including positioning, qualification criteria, proposal content, pricing guidelines, and training.
• Lead the shaping of strategic and complex pursuits.
• Establish and uphold delivery standards through methodologies, governance, quality frameworks, and performance metrics.
• Manage vendor and expenditure economics, including OEM and third-party relationships, entitlements, benchmarking, and consolidation.
• Advocate for digital transformation by representing customer and operational needs, influencing feature prioritization and release planning, and driving adoption.
• Advance the portfolio through connectivity, insights, and technology-enabled service offerings.
• Develop capabilities in anticipation of demand, while overseeing workforce capability planning and succession for critical expertise.
• Represent the practice externally at customer executive forums, industry conferences, publications, and strategic partnerships.
• Recruit, lead, and develop Subject Matter Experts and technical teams.
• Achieve outcomes across regions and functions through influence rather than direct authority.
• Ensure training and compliance for health, safety, security, environmental, and operational aspects of daily activities.
• Travel approximately 30–40% to customer sites, company locations, partner sites, and industry events, including international travel.
• Bachelor's degree in an engineering, technical, or scientific field, with 12 or more years of progressive experience in asset management, field service, or technical services, including a minimum of 5 years with commercial ownership of a service line, practice, or portfolio, and at least 5 years in a leadership role; OR an advanced degree (MSc, PhD, or MBA) in a relevant field with 10 or more years of comparable experience; OR an equivalent mix of education and experience.
• Advanced degree in an engineering or scientific discipline, with an MBA or similar commercial qualification preferred.
• Proven ownership of a services offering, practice, or service line with accountability for revenue, growth, and margin at scale and across multiple geographies.
• Application of offering management discipline to services, including market assessment, value proposition definition, pricing and packaging, lifecycle management, and build, buy, or partner decisions.
• Established credibility in multi-vendor asset, instrument, or field service operations within regulated (GxP) laboratory or equivalent technical environments.
• Experience with laboratory relocation and move programs, including engineering and commercial discussions at the executive level.
• Experience collaborating with product and technology teams to develop digitally enabled services.
• Proficiency in managing OEM and third-party contracts, entitlements, benchmarking, consolidation, and rate structures.
• Proven track record in designing, launching, and scaling new services to achieve profitable delivery.
• Ability to influence without direct authority within a global matrix and possess strong executive communication skills.
• Experience in recruiting, developing, and retaining senior engineering and technical experts.
• Background in multi-vendor laboratory services, OEM field service, laboratory relocation, or equipment and facilities outsourcing is preferred.
• Experience operating within North American and European markets is preferred.
• Familiarity with CMMS or EAM, metrology and calibration, RFID and asset tracking, condition-based or predictive maintenance, and IQ/OQ/PQ is preferred.
• Must be capable of working in a laboratory or controlled environment that requires personal protective equipment.
• Must be able to accommodate multiple time zones.
• Must be able to complete Medical Clearance, Respiratory Protection Training, and Fit Testing if required.
• Ability to remain stationary for more than 25% of the time and occasionally move between labs, corridors, rooms, and buildings.
• Ability to occasionally lift or move up to 25 pounds, with potential occasional lifting of up to 50 pounds.
• Specific close-range, distance, color, peripheral, and depth vision abilities are required, along with the ability to adjust focus.
