Director, Procurement – Technology & Product

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Massachusetts.

📋 Description

• Lead and nurture a Procurement team dedicated to Technology & Product.

• Own and manage the procurement strategy, supplier ecosystem, and sourcing roadmap across technology and product sectors.

• Collaborate with executive and senior leaders from Technology, Product, Engineering, Data, Information Security, IT, Finance, and Legal.

• Spearhead complex sourcing initiatives and negotiations for software, cloud services, licensing, AI, data, and global technology services.

• Develop commercial frameworks that encompass licensing models, consumption commitments, pricing, ramp schedules, price protections, service levels, and performance metrics.

• Utilize spend, demand, utilization, benchmarking, and supplier-market analyses to pinpoint optimization and rationalization opportunities.

• Work closely with Legal, Finance, Information Security, Privacy, Compliance, and Technology stakeholders regarding contractual, regulatory, cybersecurity, and third-party risks.

• Serve as a strategic advisor for Procurement to Technology & Product leadership.

• Enhance enterprise-wide procurement standards, tools, and methodologies.

⛳️ Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Finance, Economics, Supply Chain, Information Systems, or a related discipline.

• Over 10 years of experience in strategic sourcing, category management, procurement, vendor management, or a similar commercial role.

• Significant oversight of technology or product categories.

• Proven experience in leading teams and developing Procurement professionals within a dynamic, high-growth environment.

• Extensive knowledge of SaaS and enterprise licensing, cloud and consumption-based pricing, data, AI, infrastructure, hardware, telecom, cybersecurity, and professional services.

• Demonstrated success in leading high-value, complex negotiations and formulating category strategies for critical technology suppliers.

• Strong financial and analytical skills, including total cost of ownership, demand and utilization data, benchmarking, and unit economics.

• Capability to translate technology roadmaps, architectural considerations, and business needs into sourcing and supplier strategies.

• Strong executive presence with the ability to influence Vice Presidents, Senior Vice Presidents, and C-suite stakeholders.

• Experience utilizing analytics, AI, automation, and procurement technology.

• Familiarity with sports betting, iGaming, fantasy sports, technology, financial services, or another regulated industry is advantageous.

• May be required to secure a gaming license issued by the appropriate state agency as a condition of employment.
