This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.
• Act as Assembly's leading expert on physician billing and reimbursement, with a focus on Ophthalmology, Orthopedics, and Pain Management.
• Evaluate practice collections reports and accounts receivable data to uncover performance drivers, root causes of denials, and aging receivables.
• Convert intricate billing and reimbursement information into straightforward, precise explanations for practice administrators, physicians, and CFOs.
• Engage in discussions with clients and prospects as a subject-matter authority.
• Assist the commercial team during finalist meetings and relevant RFP submissions by utilizing analyses of practice data.
• Establish credibility with potential clients by showcasing expertise in the complexities of specialty-specific billing.
• Keep an eye on changes in payer policies, regulatory updates, and industry trends that impact physician reimbursement.
• Convert reimbursement changes into practical implications for practices and Assembly's internal teams.
• Create case studies, white papers, and educational materials on physician revenue cycle management.
• Act as an internal resource on specialty-specific billing practices.
• 8–10 years of direct experience in physician billing and revenue cycle management.
• Extensive, demonstrable knowledge in denial management, AR aging analysis, and collections reporting.
• Direct experience with, or substantial knowledge of, billing practices in Ophthalmology, Orthopedics, and/or Pain Management.
• Capability to interpret complex financial and collections data and convey it clearly and accurately to non-technical audiences.
• Excellent communication skills; confident in representing Assembly's expertise to practice leadership and physicians.
• A genuine interest in understanding the mechanics of reimbursement.
• Experience in additional specialties beyond the three mentioned above.
• Proven track record in creating case studies, whitepapers, or other content demonstrating technical expertise.
• Prior experience collaborating with sales or business development teams within a healthcare services or revenue cycle management company.
• Formal billing/coding certification (e.g., CPC, CPB, CPMA) is valued but not mandatory.
