This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States, +2 more countries.
• Develop and take ownership of Thumbtack’s long-term Talent and Organizational Development strategy.
• Combine performance management, career architecture, talent and succession planning, leadership development, and change into a quantifiable roadmap.
• Enhance performance management practices, encompassing goal setting, expectations, feedback, calibration, and accountability.
• Manage and advance career architecture, including role and level frameworks, capability expectations, and career progression pathways.
• Direct talent planning and succession initiatives, pinpointing capability and bench gaps while fostering high-potential employees.
• Create scalable development experiences aimed at bridging capability gaps and enhancing manager and senior leader effectiveness.
• Implement an AI-first strategy to enhance insights, personalization, and scalability.
• Develop a unified measurement framework that utilizes business, talent, and program data.
• Supervise a small team of seasoned practitioners.
• Collaborate with senior leaders and HR Business Partners to address talent and organizational challenges.
• Report directly to the Head of People.
• Over 10 years of experience in talent management, organizational development, learning and development, or related fields, including at least 4 years in leadership and people development.
• Extensive knowledge in talent management, covering performance, career architecture, talent planning, and succession.
• Proven expertise in leadership development, organizational effectiveness, and change management.
• A history of personally designing and executing scalable talent and organizational solutions that yield measurable results.
• Established credibility with senior leaders and the capacity to navigate ambiguity and influence without formal authority.
• An AI-first mindset, with practical experience in creating multi-step workflows and exercising sound judgment regarding AI applications in sensitive personnel processes and decisions.
• A player-coach approach combined with an analytical mindset.
• Knowledge of adult learning theories and talent management practices.
• Proficiency in leveraging data to enhance talent and organizational solutions.
