This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.
• Take ownership of the K-12 market strategy, encompassing target sub-verticals, customer segments, solution focus, and partner ecosystem.
• Create multi-year roadmaps that align with Convergint’s growth objectives and investment priorities.
• Lead, mentor, and develop Vertical Market Managers; establish operational rhythms and performance expectations.
• Serve as the senior leader and subject matter expert for the K-12 vertical among customers, partners, and industry associations.
• Align Sales, Service Operations, Enablement, Marketing, Finance, and CTC leadership with the K-12 vertical strategy.
• Guide the development of differentiated solutions and bundles that address critical customer outcomes.
• Support high-impact, complex opportunities through engagement at the executive level and strategic deal guidance.
• Define and monitor vertical-level KPIs, including revenue growth, margin, pipeline health, wallet share, and market expansion.
• Provide regular updates to executives on vertical performance, risks, and opportunities.
• Influence strategic direction, investment decisions, and execution throughout the organization.
• Participate in virtual team meetings, vertical leadership calls, and regional planning sessions.
• Travel for in-person enablement sessions, client events, strategic meetings, and national industry forums.
• Bachelor’s degree is required; advanced degree is preferred.
• A background in business, technology, engineering, or a relevant field is preferred.
• Over 10 years of experience in technology, security, or related industries.
• More than 5 years in senior leadership roles, responsible for strategy, revenue growth, and team leadership.
• Demonstrated success in building and scaling K-12 market strategies across distributed sales organizations.
• Proven credibility and leadership at the executive level within the vertical market.
• In-depth knowledge of customer business drivers, regulatory frameworks, and market dynamics.
• Strong business acumen that balances strategy, execution, and financial performance.
• Comprehensive understanding of security, life safety, and relevant technologies.
• Ability to convert complex market insights into scalable strategies and programs.
• Exceptional executive communication skills in written, presentation, and interpersonal contexts.
• Strategic and visionary leadership; ability to influence collaboration within a matrixed organization; results-driven and accountable.
• Willingness to travel up to 50% of the time.
• Experience in a U.S. work context supporting U.S.-based CTCs and vertical sales teams.
