This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.

📋 Description

• Take charge of delivery encompassing product, engineering, and QA for a team of approximately ten members.

• Maintain close engagement with the work through design evaluations, pull-request assessments, and occasional coding tasks.

• Manage the engineering framework by resolving dependencies, clarifying ambiguities, and expediting the production process.

• Enhance platform reliability by setting uptime objectives, managing error budgets, and implementing a sustainable on-call schedule.

• Scale high-volume data ingestion, event pipelines, and APIs that serve hundreds of locations across various booking channels.

• Oversee the API landscape, which includes partner integrations, access-control systems, third-party channels, versioning, contracts, deprecation, and documentation.

• Create repeatable integration patterns for booking channels and access-control providers.

• Advance CI/CD processes, environments, testing strategies, and observability.

• Collaborate with the AI team on data collection, event ingestion, and dependencies related to model-serving platforms.

• Organize the roadmap, highlight trade-offs, and make informed delivery decisions.

• Hire strategically, establish hiring criteria, oversee the hiring process, and facilitate the development of current team members.


⛳️ Requirements

• Over 8 years of experience in building production software.

• At least 3 years in leadership roles.

• Experience managing teams of about 5–15 individuals.

• Practical technical leadership skills, including the capacity to debug systems.

• Expertise in distributed systems and API platforms.

• Familiarity with services, queues, event streams, integration patterns, and durable data models.

• SRE experience involving SLOs, incident command, capacity planning, and cost-conscious infrastructure.

• Proven track record in scaling traffic, data, or integrations.

• Experience with third-party integrations, especially with partners that have inconsistent or poorly documented processes.

• Responsibility for QA strategies, encompassing automation, manual testing, and quality assessment.

• Strong written communication skills for design documents, incident reports, and roadmap updates.
