This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.
• Drive strategic growth, capture initiatives, and market development for knowledge-based defense services.
• Market high-end consulting and engineering advisory solutions across DoW, safety engineering, software-intensive systems, mission engineering, and digital engineering.
• Establish Edge Case as a reliable advisor in system safety, software safety, technical assessments, mission engineering, systems engineering, MBSE, digital engineering, T&E, and safety assurance for autonomous and AI-driven systems.
• Formulate and implement DoW growth strategies and account management plans.
• Recognize, qualify, shape, and oversee opportunities within DoW mission domains.
• Create relationship maps, call strategies, opportunity plans, and organized capture pipelines.
• Assess PWS/SOW/RFP requirements, evaluation criteria, differentiators, and competitive standing.
• Detect customer pain points, mission requirements, funding avenues, and emerging needs early on.
• Conduct competitive intelligence, scorecard evaluations, pricing analysis, and opportunity qualification.
• Convert market research into capture strategies and preliminary shaping plans.
• Assist in expanding into neighboring DoW markets.
• Foster relationships with DoW decision-makers, acquisition authorities, program offices, mission stakeholders, and industry partners.
• Represent Edge Case during customer engagements, industry events, conferences, and partner discussions.
• Identify potential partners and cultivate teaming relationships with primes, subcontractors, technology collaborators, and contract vehicle holders.
• Support NDAs, Teaming Agreements, partner coordination, and negotiations of teaming strategies.
• Articulate Edge Case capabilities into mission value for US Army procurers.
• Report to executive leadership and collaborate with operations, engineering, and human resources.
• Must be eligible to obtain a Secret-level security clearance.
• 12–15+ years of relevant and progressive experience in federal business development, capture management, or DoD/DoW leadership.
• Preferred recent focus on the US Army Acquisition community.
• 3+ years of experience in developing impactful business development strategies, roadmaps, and pipelines resulting in significant business growth.
• 3+ years collaborating with executives to prioritize resources, manage budgets, and make go/no-go decisions on gated pursuits.
• Proven record of exceptional capture and business development achievements in high-end government engineering services, including A&AS and SETA.
• Experience in supporting rapid acquisition, mission engineering, systems engineering, safety engineering, autonomous systems, advanced weapon systems, and software development.
• Extensive background in portfolio development and growth in government services.
• Strong comprehension of DoD acquisition pathways, including OTAs, SBIR/STTR, and major contract vehicles.
• Insight into US Army missions, operational ecosystems, acquisition pathways, and mission priorities.
• Capability to design solutions and convey how SE&I, MS&A, T&E, software development, digital engineering/acquisition, and mission engineering address complex customer challenges.
• Authorization to work in the United States.
