Director of Scheduling

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.

📋 Description

• Oversee the comprehensive scheduling strategy, operations, and performance of the team within the organization.

• Develop, enhance, and uphold scheduling processes, workflows, standards, and best practices.

• Ensure that client schedules are adequately staffed and correspond with clinical requirements.

• Monitor aspects such as capacity, utilization, coverage, cancellations, and scheduling discrepancies.

• Analyze scheduling metrics and trends to enhance efficiency, productivity, and service provision.

• Collaborate with Clinical and Operations leadership to foresee staffing needs and tackle scheduling obstacles.

• Establish and monitor KPIs and performance expectations, delivering actionable insights to leadership.

• Lead, mentor, and support members of the scheduling team.

• Resolve intricate scheduling challenges and coordinate solutions across various teams.

• Assist with the implementation, optimization, and efficient utilization of scheduling technology and systems.

• Create and maintain SOPs to ensure that scheduling practices are consistent, precise, and compliant with company policies.

⛳️ Requirements

• A minimum of 5 years of experience in scheduling, workforce management, operations, or a related area.

• Proven experience in managing or leading a scheduling team.

• Strong grasp of workforce scheduling, capacity planning, and utilization principles.

• Excellent analytical, organizational, and problem-solving capabilities.

• Proficiency in transforming data and trends into practical, actionable strategies.

• Strong communication skills and the ability to collaborate across functions.

• Capability to manage competing priorities in a dynamic, fast-paced environment.

• Exceptional attention to detail and a commitment to follow-through.

• Comfortable working with scheduling software, databases, and operational systems.

• Experience in healthcare, behavioral health, ABA, or another service-oriented field is highly preferred.

• Leadership approach that emphasizes accountability, collaboration, and ongoing improvement.
