This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.
• Develop and oversee strategic relationships within the travel trade sector markets.
• Propel revenue growth and enhance market share by engaging in proactive sales activities, strategic account development, partner engagement, and targeted business development initiatives.
• Identify and foster new business opportunities across both established and emerging distribution channels.
• Conduct sales calls, partner meetings, training sessions, presentations, and market visits.
• Manage travel trade inquiries, ensuring timely follow-up and partner support.
• Represent Under Canvas at trade events, industry functions, roadshows, sales missions, and familiarization programs.
• Cultivate and maintain Under Canvas’ strategic relationship with Hyatt’s Group Sales Organization.
• Formulate a strategy for Travel Advisor sales.
• Create a consortia strategy and business case; oversee the process and manage the consortia relationship if pursued.
• Keep abreast of market intelligence regarding trends, competitor activity, consumer behaviors, and distribution developments.
• Collaborate with sales, marketing, reservations, revenue management, and camp teams.
• Maintain CRM records, sales opportunities, pipeline management, and partner engagement notes.
• Generate sales activity and performance reports while contributing to forecasting, budgeting, and strategic sales planning.
• Achieve and surpass revenue targets, KPIs, and commercial objectives for the Americas market.
• Report directly to the VP of Sales and collaborate closely with the SVP of Sales & Marketing.
• Proven track record in a proactive sales environment within the hospitality, travel, or tourism sectors.
• At least 7 years of experience in a sales or business development role within the hospitality or travel industries.
• Demonstrated success in managing strategic travel trade relationships and driving revenue growth across the Americas market.
• Strong comprehension of the travel trade landscape throughout the Americas, including travel advisors, host agencies, consortia, tour operators, and preferred partner networks.
• Proven ability to establish strategic partnerships, drive revenue growth, and manage accounts effectively.
• Strong commercial insight with the capability to identify market opportunities, analyze performance trends, and meet sales targets and KPIs.
• Excellent skills in relationship management, presentation, communication, and negotiation.
• Capacity to work independently, manage multiple priorities, and perform effectively within a remote sales environment.
• Experience with CRM systems and proficient in maintaining accurate sales reporting, pipeline management, and account activity records.
• Strong knowledge of the Microsoft Office Suite.
• Willingness and ability to travel regularly throughout the Americas markets and internationally when necessary.
• Experience in managing strategic accounts and developing revenue growth opportunities within travel trade channels.
