This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Washington.
• Create and implement sales strategies that align with client goals, Costco priorities, and the growth ambitions of Bluebird.
• Oversee annual business planning, forecasting, promotional strategies, and execution for designated client accounts.
• Discover opportunities to broaden distribution, enhance sales, boost profitability, and expand market share.
• Formulate plans for product launches, seasonal initiatives, and merchandising strategies.
• Act as the primary relationship manager for CPG manufacturer clients and the key contact for Bluebird in assigned Costco Non-Foods categories.
• Cultivate relationships with Costco buyers, merchants, and critical retailer stakeholders.
• Lead business reviews, annual planning meetings, line reviews, and important customer interactions.
• Negotiate with clients and Costco to optimize sales performance and achieve favorable business outcomes.
• Identify and pursue new business avenues and create opportunities for new clients.
• Assist brands in securing placement and accelerating growth within Costco's Non-Foods divisions.
• Present growth strategies that showcase Bluebird's capabilities in sales, analytics, retail media, eCommerce, and omnichannel operations.
• Track category trends, competitive dynamics, consumer behavior, sales performance, forecasts, and key business indicators.
• Evaluate category performance, shopper insights, sales trends, profitability, P&L performance, and overall category results.
• Collaborate with Retail Account Managers and cross-functional teams on item setups, pallet programs, sales reporting, launches, promotions, merchandising, and retailer initiatives.
• Prepare and deliver business reviews, performance summaries, forecasts, and recommendations for growth.
• Address business challenges and eliminate obstacles impacting account performance.
• A minimum of 7 years of experience managing Costco supplier accounts within a manufacturer, broker, agency, retailer, or commerce organization.
• Demonstrated success in leading client relationships and fostering business growth across various accounts.
• Experience engaging directly with Costco buyers and managing retailer relationships effectively.
• Preferred experience in supporting Consumer Electronics, Small Appliances, Hardware, General Merchandise, or other Non-Foods categories.
• Proven track record of managing multiple brands, categories, or client portfolios.
• Experience in developing and executing retailer-specific growth strategies in large retail settings.
• Proficient in financial analysis, profitability management, and business planning.
• Solid understanding of Costco's merchandising, promotional, and operational processes.
• Exceptional business development and relationship management capabilities.
• Excellent communication, presentation, and negotiation skills.
• Strong analytical and financial expertise, including P&L management and business analysis.
• Ability to convert data and insights into actionable growth strategies.
• Strong project management and organizational abilities.
