This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.
• Build, lead, and expand the Sales Engineering team, recruiting and nurturing SEs as ScaleOps evolves across new segments and regions.
• Collaborate with Sales leadership to design and implement the technical sales strategy throughout the entire customer journey, from initial discovery to achieving technical wins.
• Interact directly with strategic and enterprise customers to secure technical victories on the most intricate, high-value opportunities.
• Manage SE team performance, coverage, and capacity planning, ensuring that every deal receives the appropriate technical support at the optimal time.
• Cultivate and sustain in-depth product knowledge within the team, establishing the benchmark for how ScaleOps is showcased in sales meetings, meetups, and conferences.
• Create scalable SE processes, playbooks, and enablement initiatives that enhance technical win rates and reduce sales cycles.
• Serve as a vital voice for the customer, providing feedback to Product and Engineering, and influencing the roadmap based on recurring technical challenges and requests.
• Advise sales leadership on team structure, deal strategies, and effective positioning of the ScaleOps product.
• Oversee the partner technical enablement strategy, ensuring partners are onboarded, educated, and supported throughout their sales processes.
• Promote a culture of continuous learning, coaching SEs on both technical expertise and sales skill enhancement.
• 8+ years of practical experience with cloud-native technologies such as containers and Kubernetes (required).
• 5+ years of experience in customer-facing technical roles such as sales/solutions engineering, including 2+ years of direct management or leadership of a technical team (required).
• Proven history of building or scaling a Sales Engineering function within a high-growth technology organization.
• Demonstrated success in collaborating with sales leadership to enhance strategy, improve pipeline quality, and increase technical win rates.
• Strong executive presence, with experience engaging C-level and VP-level stakeholders in customer organizations.
• Proven ability to articulate and sell the advantages of modern platforms, software, and technologies.
