This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Louisiana.
• Propel organic growth in new business by directly engaging with end users, foreign program offices, dealers, distributors, and OEM partners.
• Formulate and implement business development strategies, opportunity roadmaps, and initiatives that align with company goals, revenue, and growth aspirations.
• Identify, assess, and pursue new markets, customers, partnerships, and client relationships.
• Establish and nurture relationships with end users, clients, stakeholders, foreign program offices, ministries, and industry collaborators.
• Balance the needs of partners, distributors, dealers, and customers while prioritizing value and user experience.
• Collect and utilize data to support proposals, funding, projects, program support, and customer requirements.
• Compile tender data and requirements to compete effectively for international business.
• Create internal and external materials that support international opportunities.
• Provide product briefings, training, as well as written and oral presentations.
• Assist international partners, distributors, and dealers with quotations, pricing, product specifications, and order processing.
• Coordinate compliance for international opportunities, quotations, demonstrations, and shipments in accordance with ITAR/EAR and relevant licensing requirements.
• Support operations, engineering, business development, marketing communications, and customer service teams.
• Lead and participate in both internal and external meetings with company teams, partners, government agencies, and end users.
• Conduct market research, competitive analysis, and regional market assessments.
• Negotiate contracts, distribution agreements, partnerships, and business deals.
• Collaborate with engineering and client requirements through PDR and CDR processes.
• Monitor and report on business development metrics, pipeline, and ROI across international markets.
• Represent UNITY Tactical at industry events, trade shows, conferences, and networking functions.
• Cultivate a comprehensive understanding of the UNITY Tactical brand, operations, products, and customer base.
• Apply strong project management and communication skills while adhering to deadlines.
• A proven and measurable history of driving revenue growth, acquiring new international business, and securing high-value partnerships, supported by relevant metrics.
• At least five (5) years of experience in the defense industry encompassing product sales, business development, and program management, with significant international exposure, or relevant military/law enforcement experience that provides a solid understanding of government procurement.
• A bachelor's degree or equivalent military/technical/professional work experience.
• Experience in defense, law enforcement, aerospace, and/or outdoor-industry product applications.
• Strong understanding of international defense programs, funding, tender processes, and governmental procurement within NATO and allied/partner nations.
• Familiarity with U.S. export control frameworks (ITAR/EAR), Foreign Military Sales (FMS), and Direct Commercial Sales (DCS) pathways.
• Experience in initiating, communicating, directing, and developing international distributor and dealer networks.
• Proficiency in word processing, Microsoft Teams, Excel, and PowerPoint.
• Willingness to travel as required, including frequent international travel.
• A valid passport and the ability to travel abroad without restrictions.
• Proficient and operational experience with small arms and heavy weapons systems (preferred/strongly desired).
• Experience working for or with U.S. and international manufacturing companies (preferred/strongly desired).
• Established connections with foreign end users, program offices, and distributors in key allied markets (preferred/strongly desired).
• Proficiency in foreign languages and/or demonstrated cross-cultural business experience (preferred/strongly desired).
• A basic understanding of quality-control best practices (preferred/strongly desired).
