This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Canada, +1 more country.
β’ Lead the technical strategy for the Total Service Cloud ERP, encompassing platform features, backend integrity, and release engineering.
β’ Achieve functional equivalence between the legacy desktop ERP and the cloud platform across Payroll, Accounts Receivable, Accounts Payable, General Ledger, Job Costing, Inventory, Dispatch, Sales, Purchasing, Reporting, and Banking.
β’ Guarantee accuracy in general ledger postings and reversals, payroll tax wage bases, tax handling for both the US and Canada, multi-tenant isolation, and enforcement of permissions.
β’ Develop and uphold ERP-wide user experience standards.
β’ Ensure the continuity of legacy systems, including the Java/Spring service layer and the VB6 desktop ERP.
β’ Manage cloud architecture and operations on Azure and AWS for a multi-tenant customer base.
β’ Oversee the release and deployment infrastructure, which includes GitHub Actions CI/CD, blue-green UAT, deployment gates, and slot swaps.
β’ Manage cloud expenditure, forecasting, and backlog optimization.
β’ Lead production incident responses, including error triage, root-cause analysis, architectural decision-making, and accountability for uptime.
β’ Direct the comprehensive legacy-to-cloud migration program, covering tenant matrix, Python/SQL Server to PostgreSQL ETL, schema canonicalization, and data fidelity reconciliation.
β’ Supervise customer production imports, go-lives, and the escalation of migration data issues.
β’ Coordinate the decommissioning of the legacy platform.
β’ Design and operate the multi-agent development pipeline from ClickUp through Claude Code to GitHub pull requests.
β’ Ensure that AI-assisted outputs are auditable, economically sustainable, and accountable.
β’ Support automation for repo/task synchronization, AI-assisted quality assurance triage, and developer tooling experiments.
β’ Represent the business unit regarding AI in the Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC) both internally and across Constellation group companies.
β’ Lead the engineering team by conducting standups and technical synchronizations, writing specifications, dividing and reviewing work, and overseeing merges and releases.
β’ Manage QA and staffing resources for contractors.
β’ Facilitate customer-facing onboarding and go-live processes for designated accounts.
β’ Report on R&D and AI initiatives to Jonas/Constellation and engage in cross-business-unit technical forums.
β’ Assess vendors and influence IT, security, and tenancy decisions for the business unit.
β’ Extensive senior full-stack engineering experience in TypeScript/Node, React, Express, and an ORM for PostgreSQL.
β’ Proven ownership of a production application at a significant scale.
β’ Strong discipline in backend correctness within financial or accounting domains such as General Ledger, Accounts Receivable/Payable, payroll, or tax.
β’ Familiarity with multi-tenant SaaS security, authorization, and tenant isolation.
β’ Significant cloud engineering experience on Azure and/or AWS.
β’ Experience with infrastructure-as-code, identity management, and cost optimization strategies.
β’ Expertise in data migration and ETL at fleet scale, including schema canonicalization and reconciliation.
β’ Background in DevOps and release engineering, encompassing CI/CD, blue-green or slot-based deployment, migration safety, and production incident response.
β’ Practical experience with LLM agents or AI-assisted development.
β’ Technical leadership experience, including guiding engineers, setting standards, overseeing releases, and representing engineering to executives and clients.
β’ Comfort with legacy code.
β’ Preferred: experience in field-service, elevator, door, or HVAC ERP domains.
β’ Preferred: familiarity with the Jonas Software / Constellation operating model.
β’ Preferred: experience in mobile release engineering, including Android, Play Console, signing and keystore management, and crash observability.
β’ Preferred: experience in Java or Java/Android maintenance.
β’ Preferred: enterprise identity and tenancy administration familiarity, including Entra/SSO, Microsoft 365, and email security tools.
β’ Preferred: basic understanding of .NET/C# for supporting services.
β’ Scheduled weekly hours: 40.
