Director of Product, QA

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Florida, +4 more states.

📋 Description

• Provide leadership for a team of 4–5 direct reports, focusing on coaching and performance management.

• Take ownership of the entire product lifecycle, including certification, accreditation, and professional development programs.

• Drive product strategy and roadmaps by analyzing market demands, stakeholder input, and strategic objectives.

• Monitor product performance and relevance, guiding decisions on improvements, investments, or retirements.

• Ensure adherence to quality assurance and ongoing compliance with accreditation and international standards.

• Lead activities related to accreditation, assessment, audits, and surveillance.

• Cultivate relationships with regulators, accreditation organizations, and strategic partners.

• Provide technical oversight across assessment, conformity, and pertinent engineering fields.

• Establish technical advisory capabilities and frameworks.

• Design a professional development framework that aligns with certification pathways and industry requirements.

• Oversee and develop the Product & Quality Assurance department, including direct reports, contractors, and technical resources.

• Set priorities for Product & QA, identify resource needs, and contribute to annual business planning and budgeting.

• Execute other assigned responsibilities.

⛳️ Requirements

• Bachelor’s Degree in a technical, quality, engineering, science, or business-related discipline.

• At least 10 years of progressive leadership experience managing product, quality, or program portfolios in regulated, standards-based, technical, or compliance-focused environments.

• Equivalent combinations of education and experience are accepted.

• Must comply with attendance and punctuality policies.

• Candidates must reside in WI, MI, NY, FL, or NC to qualify for 100% remote work.

• Ability to travel up to 15%, including some international travel, is required.

• Must be willing to work outside of standard 8 am–5 pm hours as necessary.

• This position does not qualify for U.S. immigration sponsorship.

• Preferred: experience in certification or accreditation programs within the conformity assessment ecosystem.

• Preferred: familiarity with standards such as ISO/IEC 17024.
