Director of Product Management – Award Management

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.

📋 Description

• Take ownership of the product vision and long-term roadmap for the Award Management suite, ensuring alignment with the company's strategy and growth objectives.

• Build, lead, and nurture a team of product managers by establishing goals, providing performance coaching, and fostering talent development.

• Develop and implement a comprehensive multi-platform strategy for the Award Management portfolio.

• Collaborate with engineering leadership on platform migrations, consolidations, and modernization initiatives.

• Present the Award Management strategy and roadmap to the executive team and key stakeholders.

• Contribute to planning at the company level for products and portfolios.

• Work alongside sales, marketing, and customer success teams on packaging, pricing, and market readiness.

• Guide customer and market discovery efforts within research institutions.

• Advocate for Agile methodologies and ensure consistent, high-quality execution.

• Act as the voice of the customer within Cayuse, representing the interests of research administrators and institutional leaders.

⛳️ Requirements

• A minimum of 8 years of B2B product management experience, including leading and managing a team of product managers.

• Demonstrated experience in defining and implementing product strategy across a multi-platform or multi-product portfolio within a B2B SaaS environment.

• Proficient in working within Agile frameworks across distributed teams.

• Experience with platform migrations, product consolidations, or modernization projects, along with a solid understanding of customer, commercial, and technical dynamics.

• A strong history of prioritizing roadmap initiatives based on customer needs, business impact, and technical feasibility.

• Ability to navigate ambiguity, make informed decisions with limited information, and drive alignment among teams not directly under your control.

• Exceptional communication and facilitation skills; capable of leading customer discussions and executive roadmap presentations.

• Background in research administration, higher education, or grants and award management software.

• Knowledge of the sponsored project lifecycle, including proposals, awards, agreements, and financial compliance.

• Experience in a private equity-backed company with ARR-oriented reporting expectations.

• Proficient in using AI tools for discovery synthesis, roadmap planning, and competitive analysis.
