This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in California.

📋 Description

• Formulate and implement long-term sourcing strategies for direct electronics, electro-mechanical components, and essential Contract Manufacturers (CMs/JCMs).

• Drive cost-reduction efforts utilizing volume leverage, dual-sourcing plans, yield enhancement, and should-cost analysis.

• Manage contract negotiations and lifecycle processes for Master Service Agreements (MSAs), pricing structures, capacity reservations, and lead-time service level agreements (SLAs).

• Perform supplier risk evaluations, capacity modeling, and develop contingency strategies.

• Collaborate with Sales, Finance, and Operations on Sales and Operations Planning (S&OP) to convert demand forecasts into effective supply plans.

• Set up inventory management policies across the global warehouse and Contract Manufacturer network.

• Supervise material flow throughout the product lifecycle, addressing Engineering Change Orders (ECO) and End of Life (EOL) excess and obsolescence risks.

• Work with R&D and Engineering during New Product Introduction (NPI) on Design for Manufacturability (DFM)/Design for Cost (DFC), supplier selection, and early ramp availability.

• Synchronize procurement, production, and warehouse teams on material handling, receiving, and inventory management procedures.

• Establish and assess supplier scorecard Key Performance Indicators (KPIs).

• Develop, mentor, and expand a sourcing, procurement, and materials planning team.

• Utilize ERP/MRP systems such as NetSuite to streamline replenishment processes, purchase order workflows, and exception reporting.

• Report directly to the Vice President of Operations.


⛳️ Requirements

• A minimum of 4 years in a senior management or director position overseeing strategic sourcing and material planning teams.

• Extensive experience with ERP/MRP systems (e.g., NetSuite, SAP).

• Familiarity with Product Lifecycle Management (PLM) software (e.g., Arena).

• In-depth understanding of contract law.

• Advanced skills in financial and analytical modeling.

• Proven success in managing Contract Manufacturers (CMs/ODMs) on a global scale.

• Over 10 years of progressive experience in procurement, strategic sourcing, and supply chain management within high-tech hardware, audio electronics, or consumer electronics manufacturing.

• Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain Management, Business, Engineering, or a related field.

• MBA or APICS/CPIM certification is preferred.
