This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Wisconsin.
β’ Provide leadership and strategic oversight for designated procurement categories.
β’ Develop and implement category strategies that align with the company's objectives.
β’ Ensure competitive pricing, high quality, and reliable delivery performance across various sites.
β’ Uphold the highest standards of conduct and ethics.
β’ Create and execute category strategies aimed at optimizing cost, quality, and delivery.
β’ Manage intricate multi-year relationships with customers and suppliers.
β’ Guide and communicate strategic sourcing initiatives for business-unit products and relevant commodities.
β’ Coordinate with cross-functional teams including supply, engineering, technical support, product management, and operations.
β’ Facilitate brainstorming sessions with cross-functional teams to pinpoint strategic commodities and cost-saving priorities.
β’ Supervise sourcing/project managers throughout project execution.
β’ Identify, evaluate, and qualify strategic suppliers.
β’ Develop regional and global material cost-saving initiatives that align with commercial strategies and financial objectives.
β’ Conduct spend analysis and implement corrective actions for projects that do not meet expectations.
β’ Evaluate total cost of ownership.
β’ Identify opportunities for process improvements, advocate for change, and promote innovation and continuous improvement.
β’ Lead the preparation of RFPs/RFQs, supplier evaluation, and selection processes.
β’ Negotiate and draft supply agreements addressing payment terms, delivery schedules, pricing, freight, currency exchange, raw material volatility, and inventory levels.
β’ Analyze market and delivery conditions and compile market analysis reports.
β’ Report on established KPIs and present strategic sourcing plans, activities, and progress updates.
β’ BA or BS degree, preferably in Engineering or Supply Chain; a minimum in a business or industrial-related field.
β’ Minimum of 5 years of experience as a Category Manager in an industrial manufacturing setting, with a background in Engineering, Supply Chain, or a similar role.
β’ Demonstrated success in strategically collaborating with suppliers or customers.
β’ Willingness to travel domestically and internationally approximately 25% of the time.
β’ Experience in sourcing from low-cost regions.
β’ Background in working with multiple global locations.
β’ Proven success in a change management and challenging environment.
