This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.
• Direct Compassion's strategy for Principal and Major Gifts through management and relationship teams.
• Supervise portfolio health, prospect evaluation, relationship cultivation, solicitation, and the stewardship of high-capacity donor connections.
• Manage fundraising initiatives, pipeline oversight, donor engagement, and the achievement of financial objectives.
• Offer expert advice on complex gift strategies, transformative philanthropic opportunities, blended giving discussions, and tailored donor investments.
• Enhance leadership capabilities through coaching, succession planning, talent evaluation, and professional growth.
• Utilize fundraising analytics, portfolio metrics, forecasting instruments, and donor insights to assess effectiveness and guide decision-making.
• Spearhead personalized donor engagement strategies, cultivation plans, proposals, and stewardship experiences.
• Foster cross-departmental collaborations to formulate donor engagement strategies and funding prospects.
• Oversee donor experiences, vision excursions, and impactful engagement events.
• Represent Compassion to current and potential principal and major gift donors.
• Manage annual budget preparation and departmental financial outlays.
• Travel up to 50% of the standard schedule as necessary.
• Maintain a personal relationship with Jesus Christ.
• Consistently exemplify a witness for Jesus Christ and exhibit Christ-like behavior.
• Commitment to child protection and adherence to Compassion’s Statement of Commitment to Child Protection and Code of Conduct.
• Bachelor's Degree in a related discipline.
• Fifteen years of experience with a focus on principal and major gift fundraising strategy.
• Experience managing through various levels of leadership.
• Strong financial insight and revenue forecasting capabilities.
• Outstanding communication and executive presentation skills.
• Proven success in leading organizational transformations.
• Ability to cultivate collaborative partnerships across intricate organizations.
• Proficiency with donor CRM systems and fundraising analytics.
• Certification from a nationally or internationally recognized body in fundraising, philanthropy, leadership, or a related field.
• Valid driver's license and satisfactory driving abilities/MVR required, as operating a personally owned vehicle is a crucial job function.
• Equivalent education, training, and/or certification may be considered as a substitute for the experience and education specified above.
• Geographic differential may be offered in certain high-cost labor areas in the United States.
