This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.
• Standardize and manage the transition from Sales to Engineering, Procurement, Project Management, and Operations after contract award.
• Confirm scope, assumptions, exclusions, milestone timelines, site/customer responsibilities, and commercial obligations prior to internal turnover.
• Conduct pre-NTP readiness assessments with defined owners, deadlines, and escalation procedures.
• Act as the primary contract “pen holder” during negotiations with customers, collaborating with the CEO, CFO, and GC as necessary.
• Maintain logs of deviations, approved fallback strategies, and records of approvals.
• Facilitate the integration of contract inputs from Engineering, Project Management, Procurement, Finance, and Operations.
• Identify, assess, and select subcontractors for awarded projects.
• Lead the alignment of subcontract scope, collection of bids, price comparisons, commercial negotiations, and buyout processes.
• Develop consistent subcontractor coverage, pricing standards, and market insights.
• Manage the pre-NTP risk register addressing scope, schedule, permitting, site conditions, supply chain, commercial terms, and execution limitations.
• Drive the resolution of assumption discrepancies, pricing errors, scope inconsistencies, and other risks related to downstream project delivery.
• Set go/no-go and readiness criteria prior to projects entering formal execution.
• Supervise post-signature contract readiness, including contract kickoffs, obligation identification, and risk transfer to PMO and Operations.
• Ensure the execution team is prepared to enter NTP with definitive contractual obligations, aligned budget assumptions, subcontractor strategy, and visibility on open items.
• Monitor and enhance pre-NTP cycle time, quality of handoff, subcontractor coverage, and recurring causes of downstream project disruptions.
• 8+ years of experience in pre-construction, project development, contracts, commercial operations, or related leadership positions.
• Proven history of negotiating agreements with customers and subcontractors and managing pre-NTP commercial risks.
• Proficient in subcontractor selection, pricing, bid comparison, scope alignment, and project readiness evaluations.
• Excellent written communication, contract judgment, and cross-functional execution abilities.
