This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.
• Oversee the entire Project Management Office (PMO) function within the company.
• Establish standards for project management capabilities, criteria for measuring success, methodologies, and tools.
• Cultivate the PMO as a Center of Excellence that supports project management professionals and disseminates industry best practices.
• Lead the governance, reporting, and review frameworks for the PMO, encompassing organizational project activities, risks, and challenges.
• Prepare executive summaries for senior leadership regarding project and team performance.
• Build and maintain relationships with project leaders and senior stakeholders.
• Offer coaching, training, and support to enhance project and program management skills.
• Oversee the PMO gating process, GYR process, and project accountability.
• Ensure the successful execution and performance of both customer-facing and internal initiatives.
• Provide leadership, integration, and management of project management processes and functions.
• Recommend or approve budgets, expenditures, and reporting for projects and programs.
• Manage interdependencies among projects and coordinate efforts across them.
• Monitor deliverables, timelines, and key performance indicators; escalate issues as necessary.
• Lead quality assurance and post-completion reviews for projects.
• Identify and adopt innovative project management methodologies and tools.
• Recruit and manage staffing needs.
• Supervise the delegation of tasks to Project/Program Managers.
• Set annual performance goals and conduct performance evaluations.
• Personally spearhead select strategic initiatives for the organization.
• At least 10+ years of experience as a leader in Project Management, with expertise in budget management and dashboard reporting; a proven track record of innovative thinking and delivering projects to a high standard.
• Bachelor’s degree in business, technology, or a related field, or equivalent experience.
• Experience in leading teams with direct reports.
• Proficient in budget management and reforecasting to aid in annual planning, as well as leading monthly reforecasting for project budgets.
• Extensive experience with both traditional and innovative project management processes, techniques, and tools, including agile, waterfall, and iterative methodologies.
• Familiarity with implementing governance practices.
• Experience in rapidly growing mid-market or technology companies.
• Scrum Master or PMI certification is preferred.
• A passion for and interest in people development is preferred.
• Experience in implementing resource management practices is preferred.
