Director of Partnerships

📋 Description

• Formulate and spearhead the overarching sales partnership strategy to facilitate revenue growth, enhance customer retention, expand market reach, and achieve broader business objectives.

• Create partner segmentation and strategies focused on investment, support, enablement, marketing resources, and executive engagement.

• Discover partnership opportunities within the higher education and healthcare sectors.

• Develop and oversee partner-sourced and partner-influenced pipeline processes, which include lead sharing, referrals, deal registration, opportunity ownership, and collaborative selling.

• Build, refine, and scale strategic partnerships with associations, clinical integration partners, student information system partners, and value-added solution providers.

• Identify, assess, and prioritize new partnership opportunities.

• Take ownership of partnership revenue targets, pipeline development, forecasting, and performance reporting.

• Establish and sustain executive-level relationships with key partners.

• Create growth plans for strategic partnerships that encompass revenue objectives, customer engagement strategies, joint initiatives, and partner-specific success metrics.

• Lead negotiations and ongoing management of partnership agreements, commercial terms, and contracts in collaboration with Legal, Finance, and stakeholders.

• Set up partnership governance, performance standards, and accountability measures.

• Analyze partnership performance, market trends, customer needs, and the competitive landscape to provide insights to senior leadership.

• Collaborate with Sales, Marketing, Product, Operations, Finance, and Sales Enablement on programs, campaigns, events, and communications.

• Offer partners strategic guidance, tools, and resources to enhance product knowledge and sales capabilities.

• Broaden relationships within partner organizations.

• Present partnership strategy, financial performance, risks, and growth opportunities to senior leadership and stakeholders.

• Represent the company at industry events, conferences, and executive meetings.

• Promote continuous improvement through scalable processes, performance metrics, and best practices.


⛳️ Requirements

• A bachelor's degree in business administration, marketing, communications, or an equivalent combination of education and relevant professional experience is required.

• Over 10 years of progressive experience in strategic sales, market development, partnerships, or related commercial roles.

• Preferred background in building and engaging coalitions, industry consortia, standards bodies, trade associations, or other collaborative multi-party industry programs.

• Established networks at the executive and decision-maker levels, demonstrating industry credibility within the specialized market.

• Proven capability to leverage strategic relationships to gain introductions, generate qualified opportunities, and accelerate business development.

• Demonstrated success in leading complex business-to-business sales through consultative, relationship-based sales methodologies.

• Experience with multiple decision-makers and extended enterprise sales cycles.

• Advanced understanding of revenue and commercial acumen.

• Ability to assess market opportunities, comprehend client economics, and devise sustainable revenue-growth strategies.

• Outstanding communication, presentation, and business storytelling skills.

• Proficient in Microsoft Office applications, CRM platforms like Salesforce, and other business productivity and task management tools.

• Willingness to travel regularly, averaging approximately 25%.

• Availability to work Monday through Friday, from 8:00 am to 5:00 pm CST.
