This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Illinois.
• Create and execute a comprehensive playbook for operational enhancement initiatives within Strongpoint’s TPA operations.
• Recognize operational challenges and convert them into prioritized initiatives for technology, process, and system improvements.
• Assess and analyze new tools, technologies, and leading industry practices.
• Collaborate with the Product team to implement and promote technology solutions that enhance plan administration accuracy, efficiency, and scalability.
• Oversee migrations to FT William and ASC compliance systems, prioritizing data integrity, user adoption, and minimal disruption.
• Manage census scrubbing initiatives to elevate the quality, accuracy, and completeness of plan data.
• Convert best practices and operational insights into workflow and project templates in conjunction with the Transformation and CRM teams.
• Implement straight-through processing in FT William and ASC.
• Lead project management efforts for technology adoption and operational initiatives across partner firms, including planning, training, job aids, office hours, and support.
• Create feedback loops between operational teams and the Product department.
• Engage in Product sprint reviews and demonstrations, advocating for operational needs.
• Monitor initiative progress, adoption, and outcomes to guarantee measurable advancements.
• Over 10 years of experience in defined contribution plan administration, with a minimum of 5 years in a senior or management position within a TPA firm.
• Practical experience overseeing a large and diverse portfolio of retirement plans; experience with 500+ plans is highly preferred.
• Proficiency in compliance testing, Form 5500 preparation, employer contribution calculations, payroll reconciliation, and audit support.
• Background in leading operational changes through system migrations, technology implementations, training, and process improvement initiatives.
• Experience managing a project roadmap from prioritization to cross-functional execution and completion.
• Proven results from ongoing process and technology improvement initiatives.
• Knowledge of various recordkeeping platforms, payroll vendors, and financial services firms.
• Strong preference for experience with PensionPro, ASC, and FT William; comparable TPA administration platforms will be considered.
• Exceptional project management, organizational, and problem-solving abilities.
• Outstanding written and verbal communication skills.
• Capability to operate autonomously, exercise sound judgment, and propel projects forward in a fast-paced, high-accountability setting.
• Ability to collaborate effectively across Administration, Product, Technology, and other cross-functional teams.
• Preferred designations include ASPPA QKA, QKC, QPA, CPC, or equivalent.
• Experience managing or contributing to the P&L of a TPA practice, cost center, or operational unit is preferred.
• Background in a PE-backed or rapidly growing professional services environment is preferred.
• Experience consulting on M&A transactions related to retirement plans is preferred.
• Strong understanding of ERISA, IRS regulations, DOL guidance, and SECURE Act provisions is preferred.
