Director of Nursing Practice

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.

📋 Description

• Oversee the design and nationwide implementation of nursing leadership development frameworks that align with Ascension's long-term strategic objectives.

• Direct strategic mentorship initiatives, succession planning, and ongoing professional development programs for nurse leaders.

• Collaborate with executive nursing leadership, HR, and multidisciplinary teams to pinpoint future workforce trends, shortages, and competency gaps.

• Develop and implement operational goals that comply with Ascension's medical, administrative, legal, and ethical standards.

• Utilize data analytics, including NDNQI insights, to tackle clinical variations and reduce safety risks.

• Advocate for evidence-based practices throughout Ascension.

• Ensure that investments result in quantifiable enhancements in retention, engagement, and patient safety metrics.

• Work with regulatory teams to facilitate both internal and external regulatory audits.

• Integrate national clinical standards and evidence-based research into enterprise nursing operations.

• Empower nursing teams across all ministries to mitigate clinical variation.

⛳️ Requirements

• Registered Nurse license must be obtained before the hire date or job transfer date.

• BLS Provider certification required within 1 Month (30 days) of hire date or job transfer date.

• Certifications from American Heart Association or American Red Cross are accepted.

• A Master's degree in nursing is mandatory.

• Experience in nursing leadership is essential to support a high-impact nursing operations framework.

• Demonstrated success in leading evidence-based nursing and patient safety initiatives is required.

• Doctorate degree is preferred.
