This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Nebraska.
• Identify, research, and engage potential private and public foundation partners that align with the organization's mission and goals.
• Cultivate and maintain relationships with foundation program officers, trustees, and key decision-makers.
• Create persuasive grant proposals tailored to the interests and guidelines of foundation partners.
• Collaborate with program teams to collect data, narratives, and information for grant submissions.
• Ensure timely submission of grant applications while adhering to all specified requirements.
• Oversee grant administration, including reporting obligations and deadlines.
• Maintain detailed records of grant applications, including approvals and rejections.
• Coordinate with program teams to monitor the progress and outcomes of projects funded by grants.
• Act as the primary liaison for foundation partners, providing regular updates on the impact of grants.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure the alignment and delivery of promised programs and projects.
• Develop and manage an annual budget for foundation fundraising activities.
• Work in conjunction with the Executive Director to establish and meet fundraising targets and organizational financial objectives.
• Report directly to the Vice President of Advancement.
• This role will likely involve travel.

• A passion for justice and advocacy on behalf of vulnerable populations.
• A Bachelor's degree in nonprofit management, business, or a related field.
• A proven history of successful foundation fundraising and relationship development.
• Preferred experience of 7–10 years.
• Strong understanding of the grant-making process and the foundation landscape.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills, including grant writing proficiency.
• Proficiency in relationship management, negotiation, and stakeholder engagement.
• Strong project management and organizational capabilities.
• Familiarity with grant management software and databases.
• Ability to work both independently and collaboratively within a team.
• Willingness and ability to learn to utilize AI tools to enhance work processes; existing experience is preferred.
