This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.
• Oversee financial performance, reporting, planning, and internal controls for the Fresh Foods Division in the US.
• Manage the monthly financial closing process for the business unit.
• Deliver management analysis and recommendations on cost management, resource management, revenue accounting, customer profitability, market segmentation, pricing, and contracts.
• Assist in managing and executing capital expenditure spending.
• Collaborate with business and IT teams to enhance operating expenses, working capital, and profitability.
• Act as the primary financial advisor to segment leadership and engage with the segment leadership team.
• Propel operational enhancements through efficiency initiatives, automation, and analytical insights.
• Aid in monthly forecasts, long-range financial planning, annual operating plans, and strategic planning.
• Evaluate operating results, risks, and opportunities; present findings and recommendations to senior management.
• Ensure timely and precise financial reporting, clarifying variances against budget, forecasts, and the prior year.
• Supervise standard costing, product costing, inventory valuation, and manufacturing variance analysis.
• Collaborate with operations to enhance manufacturing performance, inventory turnover, cash flow, and profit margins.
• Maintain internal controls, ensure SOX compliance, coordinate audits, uphold accounting policies, and monitor financial risks.
• Assess capital investment proposals using ROI, NPV, IRR, and payback analyses.
• Work in partnership with Operations, Sales, Supply Chain, Procurement, R&D, and Human Resources.
• Support continuous improvement initiatives such as 80/20, Lean, Six Sigma, and operational excellence.
• Lead, develop, and mentor the financial Controllers organization while establishing succession plans.
• A Bachelor’s degree in accounting or finance is required.
• 7 to 10+ years of advancing finance experience.
• 5+ years of leadership experience in manufacturing finance.
• Background as a Controller or Senior Finance Manager.
• Experience in supporting executive leadership.
• Preferred multi-site manufacturing experience.
• An MBA is preferred.
• CPA or CMA certification is preferred.
• Familiarity with US GAAP, IFRS, and GMP.
• Proficient in financial closing, reporting, budgeting, forecasting, cost accounting, manufacturing finance, internal controls, SOX compliance, audits, and capital investment analysis.
