This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Texas.

📋 Description

• Directly report to the CFO.

• Lead the Accounting team while overseeing financial operations as the organization expands.

• Manage monthly and quarterly closing processes, payroll, billing, accounts receivable/accounts payable, general ledger, and revenue recognition.

• Ensure compliance with GAAP, tax regulations, and industry standards while mitigating financial risks.

• Spearhead the annual financial audit in collaboration with external auditors and work alongside tax advisors for federal and state tax filings.

• Oversee treasury functions, including bank accounts, debt facilities, compliance reporting, and cash flow forecasting.

• Develop and institute scalable financial systems and processes.

• Mentor and lead the accounting team.

• Collaborate with Finance, Sales, HR, leadership, and other departments to enhance financial performance and operations.

⛳️ Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related discipline.

• Over 8 years of accounting experience, with a minimum of 2 years in a supervisory capacity.

• CPA or equivalent certification is preferred.

• In-depth knowledge of US GAAP and the ability to convey complex accounting issues to both finance and non-finance staff.

• Experience in team management and mentoring staff accountants.

• Proficient in accounting software (QuickBooks and Maxio) and Microsoft Excel.

• Oversee the company's travel and expense policy and expense management through Brex.

• Strong analytical abilities to identify and resolve complex accounting challenges.

• Demonstrated experience in automating accounting processes and implementing accounting systems.

• Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to collaborate across teams.

• Detail-oriented, organized, and capable of managing multiple tasks and deadlines.

• Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.
