This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.
• Supervise all operational and reporting accounting; manage the general ledger along with company books and records.
• Take ownership of the monthly closing and consolidation process, which includes account reconciliations, while working to enhance the closing timeline.
• Oversee invoicing, accounts receivable, and accounts payable functions.
• Manage calculations and distributions for partner revenue shares; conduct reviews and audits of sales commissions and MBO payouts.
• Collaborate with HR on variable compensation and year-end remuneration.
• Design, implement, and monitor financial processes, policies, and controls.
• Act as the main liaison for the external audit firm and ensure the annual audit is completed on schedule.
• Work alongside management on budgeting, forecasting, and variance analysis.
• Collaborate with Sales, Professional Services, and Legal on order-to-cash processes, contractual terms, subscription commencement dates, and invoicing schedules.
• Lead the implementation, adoption, and ongoing enhancement of accounting systems, including QuickBooks Online, Salesforce, Ramp, and Gusto.
• Automate repetitive finance workflows by leveraging AI technology.
• Utilize AI to review transactions, identify anomalies, draft variance commentary, create board and investor summaries, and prepare audit support schedules.
• Establish governance for AI encompassing privacy, confidentiality, review, documentation, and approved tools.
• Educate finance and partner teams on AI utilization while monitoring improvements in efficiency and accuracy.
• A minimum of 10 years of relevant accounting experience.
• At least 3 years in a Controller role, or equivalent experience as an Assistant Controller at a medium to large organization.
• Extensive experience managing accounting for businesses with high transaction volumes and recurring revenue, preferably in SaaS or fintech sectors.
• Demonstrated success in executing an efficient close and utilizing systems to automate and eliminate manual processes.
• Practical experience with applying AI tools in accounting or finance, or a proven ability to quickly learn and adopt such technologies.
• Strong proficiency in QuickBooks and Excel.
• Familiarity with Salesforce, Ramp, or similar tools is advantageous.
• Exceptional written and verbal communication skills, with a comfort level for collaborating across teams.
• CPA, public accounting, and FP&A experience are preferred but not mandatory.
• Candidates must reside in the United States.
• Must be legally authorized to work in the U.S.; the company does not provide visa sponsorship or employ individuals requiring work authorization outside the United States.
