Director of Finance

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in New York.

📋 Description

• Oversee all financial operations and guide the corporate financial planning and structure.

• Manage the preparation of financial reports, budgets, forecasts, and ensure compliance with regulatory requirements.

• Guarantee the accuracy and integrity of financial information and reporting.

• Develop and implement financial strategies that promote company growth and profitability.

• Lead the budgeting process and quarterly forecasting updates.

• Monitor and assess budget performance while implementing corrective measures as necessary.

• Provide financial analysis and modeling for strategic initiatives.

• Ensure adherence to local, state, and federal financial regulations and standards.

• Develop and uphold financial governance policies and procedures.

• Collaborate with the executive team on long-term financial strategies.

• Offer financial insights and recommendations to inform business decisions.

• Lead and mentor the finance team.

• Provide training and development opportunities for finance staff.

• Manage relationships with external auditors, investors, and financial institutions.

• Present financial reports and insights to executives, the board, and investors.

• Communicate financial performance and strategy to both internal and external stakeholders.

⛳️ Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, or a related discipline.

• MBA or CPA is preferred.

• A minimum of 7 years of progressive experience in finance.

• At least 3 years in a leadership capacity.

• Proven experience in the technology or blockchain industry is highly desirable.

• Strong understanding of financial management, accounting principles, and financial regulations.

• Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, complemented by a strategic mindset.

• Proficiency in financial software and tools, including ERP systems, Excel, and financial modeling.

• Exceptional leadership and team management skills.

• Strong communication and presentation abilities.

• Capability to present complex financial information in a clear manner.
