Director of Environmental Services

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Missouri.

📋 Description

• Oversee all HHS Environmental Service Programs throughout the entire shift

• Lead and cultivate a high-performing Environmental Services team across various locations in the St. Louis region

• Promote a positive, productive, and rewarding workplace founded on teamwork, respect, and accountability

• Ensure that cleanliness, safety, and quality standards are consistently upheld in designated facilities

• Perform regular inspections of facilities and implement action plans to address areas for enhancement

• Recruit, train, mentor, and develop team members to ensure operational excellence

• Collaborate with facility leaders, department heads, and HHS leadership to meet performance objectives

• Monitor customer and patient satisfaction, implementing strategies to enhance the overall experience

• Analyze operational data to make informed decisions that support facility, budget, and compliance objectives

• Develop, maintain, and oversee quality control systems and operational budgets

• Ensure adherence to OSHA, The Joint Commission, and other relevant health and safety regulations

• Provide hands-on leadership, guidance, and support to EVS teams across assigned locations

• Travel extensively between facilities to bolster operations and team development

⛳️ Requirements

• A minimum of 2 years of experience managing both salaried and hourly staff

• Background in environmental services, housekeeping, healthcare, hospitality, or a related field is preferred

• Excellent leadership, communication, and organizational abilities

• Capacity to build relationships with employees, facility leaders, and clients

• Strong problem-solving and decision-making skills

• Proficient in Microsoft Office, spreadsheets, and other computer applications

• Flexibility to work a varied schedule, including nights, weekends, and holidays, as required

• Willingness and capability to travel 100% of the time

• A valid driver's license and dependable transportation are essential

• Openness to relocation for future career growth opportunities

• Experience in managing Environmental Services or housekeeping operations within a healthcare setting is preferred

• Knowledge of OSHA, The Joint Commission, and other regulatory requirements is preferred

• Bilingual communication skills, especially in Spanish, are an advantage

• Previous experience managing multiple locations or teams is preferred

• Familiarity with quality assurance programs, labor management, and operational budgets is preferred
