Director of Environmental Services

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Missouri.

📋 Description

• Oversee all HHS Environmental Service Programs throughout the duration of the shift

• Lead and cultivate a high-performing EVS team across various locations in the St. Louis area

• Promote a positive, productive, and fulfilling work environment grounded in teamwork, respect, and accountability

• Ensure that cleanliness, safety, and quality standards are consistently upheld in assigned facilities

• Conduct regular inspections of facilities and implement action plans to address areas for improvement

• Recruit, train, coach, and develop team members to ensure operational excellence

• Collaborate with facility leaders, department heads, and HHS leadership to meet performance objectives

• Monitor customer and patient satisfaction, implementing strategies to enhance the overall experience

• Analyze operational data to make informed decisions supporting facility, budget, and compliance goals

• Develop, maintain, and oversee quality control systems and operational budgets

• Ensure adherence to OSHA, The Joint Commission, and other relevant health and safety regulations

• Provide hands-on leadership, guidance, and support to EVS teams across assigned locations

• Travel extensively between facilities to support operations and team development

⛳️ Requirements

• Minimum of 2 years of experience managing salaried and hourly employees

• Prior experience in environmental services, housekeeping, healthcare, hospitality, or a related industry is preferred

• Strong leadership, communication, and organizational skills

• Ability to foster relationships with employees, facility leaders, and clients

• Excellent problem-solving and decision-making skills

• Proficiency in Microsoft Office, spreadsheets, and various computer software

• Flexibility to work a varied schedule, including nights, weekends, and holidays, as required

• Willingness and capability to travel 100% of the time

• Valid driver's license and reliable transportation are necessary

• Openness to relocating for future career advancement opportunities

• Experience in managing Environmental Services or housekeeping operations in a healthcare environment is preferred

• Familiarity with OSHA, The Joint Commission, and other regulatory requirements is preferred

• Bilingual communication skills, particularly in Spanish, are advantageous

• Experience in managing multiple locations or teams is preferred

• Knowledge of quality assurance programs, labor management, and operational budgets is preferred
