
Director of DIY, Community Fundraising

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Tennessee.
• Provide strategic direction, growth opportunities, and operational management for ALSAC's community-focused fundraising portfolio, encompassing DIY fundraising and youth-oriented programs such as Math-A-Thon and Trike-A-Thon.
• Design and implement long-term strategic growth strategies for DIY, youth, and community fundraising efforts.
• Assess portfolio performance and create multi-year strategies aimed at enhancing revenue, participation, retention, and market presence.
• Investigate emerging fundraising trends, digital engagement strategies, and new revenue-generating prospects.
• Oversee annual planning processes, including fundraising tactics, performance objectives, resource needs, and investment suggestions.
• Manage national and regional fundraising initiatives to ensure consistency, scalability, and operational efficiency.
• Drive the execution of annual strategic and operational plans to meet budgeted revenue targets and key performance indicators (KPIs).
• Evaluate program performance, participant data, market trends, and financial outcomes to determine areas for improvement.
• Collaborate with teams across Marketing, Product, Technology, Analytics, Finance, Territory Operations, and volunteer leadership.
• Foster cross-functional relationships and align stakeholders to implement strategic initiatives.
• Lead, develop, mentor, and coach a high-performing team.
• Nurture relationships with volunteers, community leaders, third-party organizations, and strategic partners.
• Serve as a representative for ALSAC and St. Jude Children's Research Hospital.
• Support program training, educational resources, and initiatives aimed at engaging volunteers.
• Develop, manage, and oversee program budgets and resource distribution.
• Utilize data and reporting to inform strategic choices and enhance performance.
• A minimum of 6 years of relevant experience.
• Bachelor's degree is preferred.
• Understanding of fundraising, particularly with experience in peer-to-peer fundraising strategies within the nonprofit sector.
• Proven experience in developing and implementing fundraising, community engagement, or volunteer-driven growth strategies.
• Strong knowledge of participant engagement, volunteer management, and community-based fundraising approaches.
• Demonstrated capability to analyze data, assess program performance, identify trends, and make strategic recommendations.
• Experience in cross-collaboration with marketing, technology, analytics, finance, and operations teams.
• Familiarity with internal communications, budgeting, and special event fundraising.
• Knowledge of business practices related to the active lifestyle industry is a plus.
• Comprehensive understanding of management principles and leadership techniques.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Ability to comprehend, interpret, and convey complex information and business strategies.
• Experience in leading teams, coaching staff, and achieving results in a fast-paced setting.
• Proficient in data processing and reporting tools.
• Willingness to travel up to 20-25%, including nights and weekends.
