This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Illinois, +3 more states.
• Develop and oversee a dynamic pipeline of employer partnerships within designated communities.
• Enhance the visibility of the ACT WorkKeys NCRC and promote the utilization of WorkKeys workforce tools.
• Cultivate connections with chambers of commerce and economic development entities.
• Advocate for WRC certification as a valuable asset for workforce and talent attraction.
• Manage a portfolio of Work Ready Communities, monitor progress, identify opportunities for advancement, and initiate necessary actions.
• Promote the growth of WorkKeys curriculum licenses, assessments, and certifications.
• Collaborate with ACT Sales on contract fulfillment.
• Link communities to federal and state workforce funding sources.
• Foster collaborations among employers, training providers, workforce boards, and educational partners.
• Maintain records in the CRM pipeline.
• Provide consistent updates on employer engagement, community development, and product growth.
• Complete onboarding for the WRC six-level framework and WorkKeys product lineup.
• Build relationships with community members, chamber partners, and economic development organization partners.
• Operate independently within the assigned portfolio while contributing to overarching WRC strategic objectives.
• Minimum of 5 years of experience in account management, business development, or economic development with proven growth results.
• Experience in managing a portfolio of accounts or community/government collaborations.
• Proven success in selling or promoting workforce, education, or credentialing solutions to employers or workforce organizations.
• Proficient in CRM usage and possess strong pipeline management skills.
• Outstanding presentation and communication abilities for both internal and external audiences at all organizational levels.
• Willingness to travel 30–50% within the assigned area.
• Candidates residing in Missouri, Illinois, Indiana, or Kentucky are preferred.
• Bachelor’s degree in Business, Marketing, Economic Development, Workforce Development, or a related field, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
• A Master’s degree in business, economic development, workforce development, or a related field is preferred.
• Knowledge of federal workforce funding programs such as WIOA or Perkins is preferred.
• Experience collaborating with chambers of commerce, economic development corporations, or workforce investment boards is preferred.
• Background in consultative or solution selling in a B2B or government-related context is preferred.
• Familiarity with ACT WorkKeys products and the NCRC credentialing framework is preferred.
• Applicants must be authorized to work in the U.S. without the need for visa sponsorship.
• Completion of the ACT National Career Readiness Certificate is recommended.
