This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in California.
• Identify and seek new business opportunities through thorough market research, networking, and focused outreach efforts.
• Cultivate relationships with end users in data centers, clients, design teams, and other key stakeholders in the industry.
• Oversee and progress opportunities throughout the sales and preconstruction phases.
• Assist in strategic sales initiatives, manage the sales pipeline, engage in CRM activities, and prepare proposals and presentations.
• Lead and coordinate design-build and design-assist projects, addressing scope, assumptions, and clarifications.
• Collaborate with estimating and preconstruction teams to create competitive, low-risk solutions.
• Work closely with operations to ensure smooth project transitions and continuity from pursuit to execution.
• Formulate strategies to tackle customer challenges and set the company apart in the mission-critical market.
• Stay updated on trends in data center construction, market opportunities, and changing customer needs.
• Conduct client meetings to understand their needs and present customized solutions.
• Establish strategic partnerships and connect regional teams with suitable clients and market collaborators.
• Contribute to long-term revenue growth and expansion within the mission-critical sector.
• 10–15+ years of experience in the construction industry, particularly in business development, project development, preconstruction, and/or execution of large-scale projects.
• Extensive experience in mission-critical, data center, concrete construction, or similarly complex construction markets.
• Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering, Construction Management, Business Administration, Marketing, Sales, Engineering, or a related field is preferred.
• Proven track record of identifying new opportunities and establishing strategic relationships and partnerships.
• Experience in strategic planning, project development, preconstruction, and leading cross-functional teams.
• Strong grasp of risk management and project delivery processes.
• Demonstrated capability to develop solutions for complex customer and project requirements.
• Exceptional verbal, written, presentation, and relationship-building skills.
• Strong problem-solving and strategic thinking capabilities.
• Ability to effectively collaborate with clients, design teams, estimating, preconstruction, operations, and executive leadership.
• Willingness to travel as necessary for client engagements, projects, and business development initiatives.
